Shamed by Jules' 2-hour ride in the rain yesterday, me and JP went out today for an inland Jersey ride whereupon we got dumped on in a serious way for...40 or so minutes. The rain went away, but I was forced to chose between riding next to JP (dude, where's my draft?) or eat his nasty rooster tail. So I rode next to him. And while he wasn't killing it, I was pleased to have kept up more or less. A few of the harder climbs, my jelly belly center had to let him go, but I stayed with him long enough to make him think I was going to pull one of my patented, kill the last 50 meters of the climb for the KOM, moves. Alas, not there yet. But...I'm optimistic that by Northampton, I'll have worked my way back up the Kissena HotCross list a bit, at least.
