Nice wormhole ride with JP today. It was chilly, but sunny and dry.

My thermal pro-jacket with one thin long-sleeve base layer underneath only did the trick up top and my fleece shorts and fleece legwarmers continue to ride like a champ. (Might have been my best racing gear purchase of the last few years.) Brought second pair of gloves but didn't need them.

About 3 hours from door to door, no stops--except near the end when I realized that I was on the verge of a little bonk, so I stopped to try and dig a gel out of my pocket--some nice steep short climbs to work on wheelie-free (front and rear) climbing. Nothing too epic though...JP took it easy on me, although I expect he'll bring out the sledgehammer soon enough.

I chuckled at how during every other holiday, this club's forum is filled with folks planning/calling for epic rides over the bridge. But not on New Year's Day. Guess you guys had fun last night!

Hopefully the sky will stay sunny and the roads dry for this weekend's group ride action.

Saturday at 8am, forecast is for 10degF, rising to 22 at 1pm. This is a trainer day.

In for Sunday. I'm getting a little stir crazy from the trainer and rollers.

Anybody gonna go out tomorrow before the crap weather begins? The next 10 days look terribul.

I'm hoping to get in a 2.5 to 3 hour tempo ride tomorrow up to Piermont/Nyack. No stops. I have some stuff to do in the morning but was hoping to be at GWB by 10. LMK if you want to join

I'm bagging it today. Weather looks dismal and roads already covered with snow and ice.

it's ridiculous, i've only ridden outside on the superbowl ride and the day before.  other than that it's been indoor since...i don't even remember

Took a solo cruise up the 9w via river road this morning. i'd say about 70% of RR is rideable right now. while the other 30% has rather large (200m) sections of icy slush that are a bit sketchy to maneuver. Aside from that, everything else was clear.

Funny that I missed Jeff.  I caught up with Craig London on the GWB and we hit RR together.  Jeff forgot to mention the huge rocks on the road--like 30cm tall that have fallen off and the snowdrifts.  

Coolio and the gang.  I need some climbing before Battenkill and Alpine repeats are a brainless way to get it locally.

Made it back in one piece. Alpine is good. I went out to piermont to ash and old mountain road which are nice and steep. Def worth checking out that area for hills.

OMG OMG OMG. Tomorrow, and especially Thursday & Friday, look uh-mazing outside! Need to be back by 1:30-2pm each day. I'm taking offers for a wormhole, JP. But I haven't ridden since California and am on antibiotics (b/c of course), so I'll be looking for a tow.

I'm game to ride north both tomorrow and Thursday. Name the meeting spot and time Jeff !

Jeff, Wednesday is out for me.  Thursday, I could do an easy spin starting around 9:30 or so.
