Hey Gwynna. It would be the morning. I have broken TT training scheduled for Thursday. They are 2x20 min efforts broken into 5 intervals. 5m steady, 1m hard, 1m rest, 4m steady, 1m hard, 1m rest, etc until it's 1m hard 1m harder. I'm sure if you are doing longer blocks of steady output for the most part we'll be hopscotching each other. LMK, it would be great to ride with you on Thursday : )

Ok. See you at 6am at the GWB. We'll head up 9W to Alpine and back...

As much as I love River road, it's not great for consistent measured output because of the rolling terrain and fast descents that rob your efforts. Typically TT efforts are all about measured efforts over relatively flat or uphill terrain. 9W is great for that because it is relatively flat and uphill from E Palisades Ave. We can take Alpine back : )

Mark, depends on what your TT is and what your strengths are.  If you're doing a rolling TT, say on River Road (I've done at least four TT's there), knowing how to gauge on the ups and downs can be worthwhile.  But I agree that if all you want to do is ride steadily, it's easier going north on 9W, though the hill by MSNBC is enough to throw off your effort, and 9W itself rolls plenty, just not as dramatically.
going out for three hours or so from teh bridge tomorrow. Hard tempo mostly.  Push a bit on the hills if I can.

shooting to get to the bridge at 9:30.
JP I was figuring we can use river road on the way back for 1min efforts to help with powering up short steep hills. Although I like TTing river road too : )

People get out of your own heads. Ugh its painful.

Look. Tts are like marriage. You've just got to be willing to suffer.

Oh fuck yes this is gonna be a heat wave hammerfest!

Tomorrow is probably up to Ragot. I am, uh, unemployed, single, no kids, and generally irresponsible.

But it's gonna be hot so I say 9 or 10 @ GWB.
