William and I might be riding tomorrow - it's up in the air for me, as I might have a doc appointment instead. I won't know until 8am tomorrow, but if it happens it'll probably be 9.30 at the GWB.

Oh yeah, and if not in the morning I'll be doing it later instead, like early afternoon. Probably through Piermont, up Ash to the ridgeline road (whatever it's called), through Nyack and back. If folks join, a coffee stop in Nyack awaits.

such a purdy day out

we avoided river road and took the low road up to closter dock rd, at which point Jon (current NYS cat4 cross champ) dropped everyone except for tito up the loooong climb

nice cruise up 9w, then up Ash and Tweed (the mellower slope sof which allowed me to take revenge on Jon and Tito) and down into Nyack.

a restorative egg&cheese put jeff and i right (we shared!) then we doodled home in the sun.

i think everyone was feeling a bit crispy by the end, but jeff still led it out on that last little climb before strictly and gave us a sprint.

i have been douched so many times by mark's snappy legs, but i jumped extra hard and went all out to maintain the gap over Bertucco.

we rode over the bridge 4 abreast, singing showtunes, and toasting the sun gods with the bottle of bubbly i won in the sprint!

good times...despite being the slowest of the group BY FAR. Everyone waited up for me multiple times. Thanks gents. Great warm, winter day.

Most excellent 70 miler. Wonderful weather, good company, nice climbs (hadn't done Closter Dock or Tweed backwards in a couple of years, whew!). Nice break from the Alpine/Bradley usual.

Rest of the weeks looks fine except Friday.

Yes good times! Trying to keep up with our buddy John K-tel was murder; dude was actually whistling going up Ash Road. Jerk.

I made the poor choice of following K-tel and JT off Tweed down that super-steep hill that drops you abruptly at 9W - their idea of a good time was to turn around and go right back up it. I mean, hill repeats are one thing but COME ON!!!

We ran into Chabanov and Alex(? Foundation guy) on Tweed - they were on their way home. Dan made some snarky comments about people's bikes - all was right with the world.

And yes, Jeff did Closter Dock Road and Tweed while riding backwards. It was nuts.

I'm on a rest week. Looking for about two hours of easy spinning.

I could do tomorrow - I got a thing in Brooklyn at 4pm, so I'd like to be back to the GWB by 2.30. Does noon at the bridge work for folks?

Any thoughts about today or tomorrow? I'm flexible, but I want to plan my days out. Tomorrow is looking freer for me at the moment, but I think today's weather is more promising.

I might leave at 11 today. Looks like rain around noon but not steady until 3 or 4. Could wait until noon.

Yeah, it's actually looking kind of crappy in general for today and tomorrow. I think I'm gonna skip today and may try to head out in the afternoon tomorrow, when things are supposed to clear up. I got a ride in yesterday, so I'm good for now.

Uh, Tito, you missed.....nothing. Unless you like incorrect weather reports that leave your hands/feet drenched the entire ride and 5-10 degrees colder than predicted. Saw Keith on his way back. Leaving at 9 would've been smarterer. I have to say, despite being under-dressed, my new RAPHA softshell jacket was totally dope, keeping me rather dry even though it's not supposed to be waterproof, just resistant. No, I didn't pay anywhere close to fucking $375 for it (thanks again eBay!).
