i will be there tomorrow at 10am (Jersey side) with a certain Alfonse Barouh

be warned - i'm going to be very slow tomorrow

up to piermont - muffin/coffe - back home
Yesssssss. The Fonze. See you there
Khan.
Ohhh, job that provides me the income to spend on riding...why do you prevent me from riding more?
we had a nice time today

al, our friend Jon and i met owens over the bridge (north side, dudes!) and rode up to piermont

"coach told me to stay in zone 2" and jeff was kind enough to keep me company as al and jon destroyed the hills on river road

muffin at bunburry, where malcolmson appeared, then jeff went north and the three of us headed back (with me tucked safely in the draft the whole time)

ran into former kissena Andy Whitten at the coffee shop - he's the guy that took me under his wing when i first started riding in NYC.

he's been living in georgia for 5 years, but just moved back to jersey - good dude (and famous graffiti writer - "Zephyr") so nice to reconnect

in philly this weekend - good luck braving the elements!
Weather was just dandy and very pleasant first half ride with the dudes. Yeah, after the first hill on river road, I was the only one that seemed to notice William wasn't around (or cared anyway. haha), so I dropped back and we drafted off a tandem biker(s?), skipped the boat dock like woosies, and then crept down to muffin depot. Sorry I didn't get to ride with The Beast Malcomson, but I decided to make up for slow poking it by goin' up ash/tweed/watertower/9W-hill back into Nyack (what's that one called?). The headwind on the way down 9W sucked! Or maybe I was just tired.

Standing next to Al and WDC makes me feel like a giant human. I may get dropped on hills with you guys but I could totally dunk over you if I could dunk. Which I can't.

Here is a pic proving I wasn't the last one to the group ride for once, with William tempting fate posing in the middle of the road:

saw jeff coming back down the WSP today near christopher st, looked like you were enjoying the easy terrain...
I thought that mightve been you. I was tirrrrrd. What bike was that? Did I detect downtube shifters? I will bring mine out for a downtube shifter only ride. Although my headset is fucked. Need a 1" threaded. A Chris King in blue, green, or mango/orange would be sweet. But anything would do. Help.....
it's my street / track / fakenger bike. it's set up for road riding right now with hoods but it turns into a true track bike come Kissena.

i got the frame from the original owner in PA a couple years back, built it up with components from my other track bike. dura ace track cranks in 175mm are hard to come by...

^ extremely legit
PA = instant track bike gravitas.
I'll be doing my weekly ride to my Nyack internship tomorrow - anyone who wants to join for all or part of a straight 9W shot, meet on NJ side at the stairs at 9am sharp.

I'll be there, Tito. Almost 50 degrees. I'll send pics afterwards, Jules. Haha
my office is closed on monday feb 20....so over the bridge i go! holler here if you're similarly blessed and are looking for riding company....
Not gonna make it. Work. Blech.
Heading over GWB Friday. Probably the same as last week. Alpine to bradley, watertower and up hill down into nyack. About 80 from Brooklyn. Saturday looks good too. Sunday, not so much.

Khan.

I'm not into star trek, but that movie is pretty great. With the mind control maggots, revenge psychology, and Spock dying. Balls out.
Going out in the am, 9ish - weather looks pretty dandy until noon. Probably just a short one - Alpine and back. Holler.
tito,
Probably out by 10am.
South side of GWB now OPEN. Yay!

Not sure if that means they're gonna switch now and close it on the weekends? Hard to tell what the work is that they're doing on the bridge. I usually get an email heads-up from DOT about this stuff...
Great ride today in the crisp sunshine with Dave and Neil. Hit some of the usual hills, plus Old Mountain Road off of 9W, up to the top of Clausland Mtn and back home on 9W all at a pace that us guys with beards could handle. Fun times. Thanks guys! Tomorrow is supposed to be nice too.
Missed you guys. Just did TT to ye runcible and back.

Wednesday Thursday look great. Almost 60? Khan. Might have to work Wed, but definitely be out Thursday.

Saw Gideon going opposite direction. Did you like the headwind going up 9W? Ha, way back I was sooooo much faster! Hmmm....

Most importantly, South side GWB is OPEN.
I'm looking for a Wednesday and Thursday morning ride. I need to be back at my place in brooklyn by 3:15 so a somewhat early start depending on how long we go.

Mike
@Perlberg. I might be up for a Wednesday ride. (working Thursday)
I'm into an earlyish Wed one - what time?

Thursday I'll be doing my weekly Nyack 9W commute if anyone wants to join - 9am SHARP from NJ side.
I can be the the ny side of the GWB by 9:40 tomorrow. Was originally planning for Thursday, but the weather is looking less agreeable now. Love to have a group.
9:40 ny side GWB sides good to me for tomorrow. very civilized.
