Watching Remco Evenepoel ride solo to victory today got me thinking about his skinsuits.  And why the sleeves on his road suits/jerseys are different.  He is said to be faster with short sleeves on his skinsuit.

There's a whole thing about how they tested different length sleeves and short legs on Remco in a wind tunnel and found shorter is always better--he'd do better with a sleeveless skinsuit, allegedly.

"“The honest answer is we just don’t know,” Smith explained, before theorising it could be something to do with Remco’s extreme arm angle, the sheltering effect from his extensions, the wake off his helmet in such an extreme position, or the relationship between the wake from the front of his position and his thighs.

"Want my guess? It probably helps that Remco shaves his arms."

Besides the question of how he's a one-off when it comes to skin, there's another.

The new compressor pumps that are used in Europe, they are way smaller than the ones of old, trying to find a link to one -- they can be found on ebay in the us... and they are green (in color)

While I presume those can probably work, the one's that all the pit crews use now are much more sturdy.

Sorry, I don't have a link anymore. David Gagnon mentioned them last year in a podcast, and I found them on ebay, but didn't buy it. They are not for sale in the US. 

As it is standard, teams have multiples, and label them for the rider, so they use the same one everytime.
