This was maybe the second time in two years that I rode without a helmet. Andy picked me up, I opened my bag at Mattie's, and realized I forgot helmet like an idiot. Though possessing enough to make up for all the other "Oh, hey, I forgot  my ________"'s, there was no spare helmet to be found (aside from a Casco that would be more detrimental to a bespectacled fellow such as myself on an overcast day).

Amazing piece of journalism documenting an avalanche that takes out a group of backcountry skiers. Truly multimedia. It took me better part of a week to get to the end of the article.

@dstokes- Agreed.  Great piece.  Regarding the multi-media angle...I've seen other pieces done using a platform called Atavist that were similarly well done.

Myerson's tweets made it sound fucking hostile!  Stybar getting doused with beer. Nys too and going into the stands.  Someone getting punched.  And while Stybar pulled a bush league move last week, I still love that guy.  As Myerson pointed out, cross is better with him in it.

hard to excuse missing your start, but pretty amazing to move up to 1st and 7th by the end.
