I was talking to Carbo and his opinion was that there just aren't that many good crits around any more. I would agree. This is a high profile and easy to get to race that guys who can't ride bikes well target.

Why did that guy crash indeed. I think it had to be tire failure or role tubular. From video, it doesn't look like his line was abnormal and the pavement was rather grippy, I thought.

^ That's a lesson in crit riding right there: anticipating the pack movement, fastest line through corners, getting clear, no brakes. And then just riding a dude off your wheel for the W on the track, try copying that strategy. Guy is a monster talent.

@twoyaks-I'll do one better. I'll buy it from R&A, have them build it up but without a saddle and ride it out of there in full (non Kissena) kit, sitting on the beam and see if anybody there notices.
