That sucks Jeff, heal up quick.
thought i'd introduce everyone to my newest gear. they didn't say how many grams it was but i was assured it was the latest technology.

thank you everyone for your support, it's been awesome. the surgeon said everything looks good and i can begin PT immediately. hopefully if it's a mild winter i will see you guys out on the road in December.

if anyone is into gross stuff i've got some more pictures.
wow, please take good care, take it super easy Will.
@Will Kalbacker heal up brother. I watched you go over your handlebar, that race was really sketchy.
x-rays always looks worse than it is..  also welcome to the (broken bone) club! Someone give him the broken bone badge.

Welcome to the club Will!

Welcome to the club Will!

I should be in that list for April fools 2012.
Consider it done, Thierry ;)
(We didn't have custom badges back then)
@Will Kalbacker Holy Cow, the screws and staples in that X-ray are something else. The only silver lining is that the road season is over. Hope your recovery is as easy as it can be

Joining the Broken Bone club is a silver lining, too.  Pretty elite club (I predated it myself, April 2012).  (Condon should be on there, Vlad, some others)
^ They are on there JP, the report just displays the most recent 15.
per
Gloucester has my number. See you all on Zwift in two weeks.
Zwift ?!   It's still cross season and that's but a flesh wound...alls you need is something with a little squish...maybe something with 20mm of suspension...front and rear...perhaps something in team colors that's missing a downtube...hmmm...

dilly...dilly

if you haven't raced cyclocross, then you have not done any cyclocross.
Oh smack!

Eloy....I'm ALL IN !!!!  as long as we do it on a tandem...and I can be the stoker & you the steersman...and you have to wear the flying cat tights...cuz that view is.......wait for it..... "all you want cycling to be"...and more !!!

At first glance I thought this was a picture of a guy with stubies for legs doing a flying mount in cat themed capris.
@Will Kalbacker sorry about the hardware, take it easy and heel up. See you soon.

@Jeffrey White what a bummer, your injury. make sure you don’t jump the gun, heel up right! 2017 was an epic racing season for you.
There are some grainy...inconclusive photo's of yacks crossing it up in the early 90's....

a quick peek at Strava....seems I've got close to 70 rides on the cross bike since July...70...willing to guess NOBODY has half as many rides on the knobby drops in that time frame (I'm talking real trail rides...not getting on your bike to buy skinny jeans and PBR)

You almost had him Eloy...

All I see is that Yacks has not raced cyclocross, so he has never done any actual cyclocross.
mmmmm.....my license says otherwise....in fact what it says is......wait for it...cat III = more cross than you....Now I've slapped on a rigid post & stem and I'm thinking of plunking down some cabbage and racing the Sling....love to cross swords with you Eloy....but you're gonna have to go and get that upgrade to make that dream come true

I may be new here but that looked a little bit like

Chris, i've been a CX cat 3 for years. supercross cat 3 would be a good one or pick another. let's race.
we-hell-hell-hell.....bluff called
need to get some rides in on the "rigid" slingshot and see what's up first.  I've been suspended since I got this bike...cush = fun.  Riding roots and rocks is technically challenging but I need to work on my motor for a few weeks.
All this Eloy macho talk got me all hot and bothered
Rigid = 3 minutes faster on the 1 hour course (not really rigid...it's a slingshot)

Is there a badge for getting hit by a car?

Admins can make any badge you want.
Update on my accident / car hit me situation. Herniated disc, lower back. Pretty bad. Got an MRI. Back pain and pain down my right leg w activity. Which is why I haven’t been riding.

Getting an epidural on Tuesday.

Any guidance / experience anyone has on getting at epidural, recovery and getting back on the bike. etc etc etc. very welcomed!

peace and love, peace and love
