Since construction cancelled this weekend's R&A, will the next L&C race on the 27th get affected too? (ie., cancelled outright).

Any word on if this is happening on Sunday? Construction is in full force and shifted the bike lane to the left. I'm doubtful it will be ready, but thought I'd see if anyone knew any official word.

My head is not exploding. Quite the opposite.
I am sitting with my feet up at a cafe in Venice listening to church bells chime while crossing my fingers that L&C is postponed (not cancelled) so I can properly defend the KOM jersey when I get back.
Only problem is I might be 20 lbs heavier when I come home. Damn the food is good out here.
Time to get back to my coffee and gelato.

Oh that would be TIGHT !!!!! KOM and Sprints on a flat tarmac are fine for one race....Most likely there will be moves all over the road before the intermediate stuff anyway...Hope it happens

Due to the ongoing repaving project in Prospect Park, we are moving Round 7 of the Lucarelli & Castaldi Cup to Brooklyn’s Floyd Bennett Field.
Please note the following:
1. The categories are still the same: Pro/1-2-3, Category 4 and Category 5.
2. This race will count to the overall standings
3. There will be no KOM points at this race.
4. There will be Sprint Points at this race (2 sprints in each race, no sprints in the Cat 5 race)
5. We are using the FBF “short course”.
6. There will be free laps. It’s wheels-in-wheels-out. 1 free lap per rider.

Sweet we can focus on Brendan's leader's jersey. FYI I believe Edikson Pena won the cat 4 mengoni race and he is a slim point behind our man overall.

6am start? Why not push it back to 6:30 to account for the extra riding time it takes to get out to Floyd?
I'm happy it's on. But it's an ugly wake-up call.
