L&C Cup

i can be a designated honey badger now that i'm a 4. perhaps that is my natural role, given my lack of strategic understanding and experience
Brendan I think you should take that satchel of fast twitch and swing it for the bGreen points - which will free Andy up for the win... @Whitey do you agree?

Chris Young from RB is the only one giving Andy a challenge so far and he was not at the last race. The Cat 4 Green Jersey standings were not updated but the most someone could have would be Egor Astakhov with 8 points and that's only if he picked up a 1st and 2nd last week. Andy should have 16 points.

If Andy says he wants to go for the W we would need at least 4 guys willing to lead him out. Like really lead him out. After final 25M crashes in 3 out of 4 of the L&C Cat 4 finishes this year, I'm not especialy anxious to be up there unless we have a solid crew willing to keep the pace very fast.

However, I would be willing to help him launch into a breakaway move. Don't know if Condon's 2nd KOM attack strategy will work again this week but if Andy can get off the front with some other strong guys I don't see why a break can't win again.

Also, a sneaky plan is always to make it look like we are leading Andy out, collect the competitors on his wheel and then let him open a gap and the last "lead out" guy goes for it. I think we pulled that last year to help get Yacks into second place.

i'll be there to assist team 4s.

@Mark -- You bailing on Cielo?
Happy to work where needed, just need specific tasks/goals to accomplish.
Egor is strong but impetuous and has no team working for him.  He also talks a lot of trash during and after races.

oh yeah, good point.  i didn't realize there was an L&C this weekend so was talking about next week.

carry on.
Chris young is a three now

WHO IS HE i hate trash talkers.  there is no higher satisfaction than silently besting a trash talker.  maybe i will make it my goal to beat him by an embarrassingly small margin

So that means Andy's next closest competitor is Igor with 3 points. While Andy is sitting on 11.

I think we throw Brendan at green jersey. Sorry buddy, but we're making you work now that you're a 4!

We switch some of the effort we were pushing towards the green to the dots. I'll line up for Yacks, and make the KOM hard for anybody who wants to get an easy ride up the hill.

We should plan 2 ways for a win:
2nd KOM we line up two strong guys as Yack's "sweepers", any combination of Andy/Condon/Jules, and then they counter the KOM sprinters and the inevitable splits that happen at that point in the race.

If that doesn't work, we line up and give the finale a proper leadout, where everybody gets in there and puts everything they've got on the line.

I may be repeating stuff that has already been said I am just trying to summarize the ideas in one single post.

Here is he.. the BVF guy (and a little self promotion included..)
Let's keep the race together until after the 2nd kom...we don't need all the points disappearing up the road....I propose Brendan leads out Jim for the green.  Jim should at least get on the podium this year and if Andy gets a mandatory upgrade...boom Jim slides into the green.  For the kom's lets pick up the pace after the start finish...If we could put 3 guys in front of me and 2 guys behind me...I think we would have a lock on the points.  1. the pace has to pick up after the start finish and not let up (nobody behind will want to go in the wind before the climb)  2. two guys sweeping my wheel should ensure the guy wearing the dots gets no free rides.

For the 2nd kom...anyone with aspirations of having a go in a break should sweep my wheel and ride the lighting.

The finale = after the downhill....assemble a train on the right side of the road...the field is going to slow down and bunch after the turn at the bottom of the hill.  That is the moment to move far right and organize.  Line it up and start rolling.  Get it up to 25 mph and roll off to the left when you can't hold it....rolling to the left should prevent people from busting into the train.  Ideally, you want Andy to be dropped at the last traffic light.  Whoever is on the train....when you see the boards near the parking lot....go full gas.
I'm feeling good and want to go for the break after the second KOM. I'll sweep Yacks. I'll help with the lead out on the first KOM and with the final lead out if it comes to that. Lets make sure to communicate during the race.

Drrr... Just noticed none of my sprint points from the 15th have been posted ...
I have a feeling it has to do with my name being posted as da Silvo. Should I contact Charlie?
^ keep it.  da silvo sounds quite exotic
Ok typo because of the I-phone. My points have NOT been posted.
Email Charlie on Facebook....he will fix it. My points were not listed correctly for race 2 & 3.
Don't worry Andy.  See if you can get 1,2,3 in that competition.  Enter this week as Da Silvu.
charlie isssesenenendurf is probably just exacting revenge for a lifetime of seeing his own name typed incorrectly

I'M IN.  Whatever that means, I don't know.
why aren't people bringing this up as a problem...the guy from CIS riding in the jogger's lane next to the race and then hanging onto the back without a number.

charlie has probably tried to bring it up, but everytime he hears the sweet song of that video, he is unable to move anything but a kleenex to his eye
There are currently 11 KCC riders registered for the 4 race! It's almost too easy at this point...
@Yoshi it didn't go well for the last guy who said "too easy" about a Park race.  Don't jinx us.
I think our max has been 22 people in the fours. We still didnt win!
Remember gents

RACE STARTS AT 6AM on SUNDAY!!!!
