Did my openers today.  I'm in.
(Also accidentally set a lifetime 1 minute lifetime power record as well today :/)
What is day of registration cost for L&C/Masters Day for us?
How do you accidentally do that?
Felt really good on my way across to winning break with two to go and a dispirited field. Been having seat problems for 6 or so laps. Sat down as I reached the intermediate group and my position was way low.. Ah. The problem was seatpost.

Now to get the stub oot of the seattube.

Was just trying to get a full-gas minute done.
Sorry guys - woke up with a splitting headache.  Homie don't race like that.

@Ragot that sucks.
#toomuchjunkinthetrunk
@Ragot, I did something similar to a Campy Record carbon post about 10 years ago. I got the stub out with very, very careful use of a key saw and some random tools to scrape out the remains. Sorry to hear this happened while you were on the move. How did your race end?
The post is deep in there. I've tried the destructive method but now need to try to pull it out with threaded rod washers and the like.

As for the race. Felt good. Totally alert and feeling good now. Ian was wasted. I dropped saddle on the uphill and went hone. Swapped bikes and went back to see how the race played out and to grab postrace coffee.
Good n deep.

Was it lubed before you stuck it in?

In all seriousness a spoke flipped upside down can be very useful. I've got a saw for this purpose as well, in bkln sunday night
Todays Masters race may have been the hardest I've ever pedaled.  When I dig deeper than I should I tend to have stomach cramps for hours afterward...I am having them now.  I've read that this is caused by my muscles stealing blood away from my gastro system in order to pedal my bike faster.
The chase to reel in the 50+ group was brutal.  They had a 2 minute lead and we closed it down in about 4 laps...There were many 27mph hot laps today.  The entire race is a blur.  I was fixated on the wheel in front of me at many points, just trying to stay on it.  A small break escaped late and stuck it.  I moved up in the finale to try and put Ian in position and I wound up sprinting in around 11th place I think.
Ian did a brutal pull to hitch up a small group that got gapped....I was in said small group and had a good view of his nasty pull.  Eric was all over as usual but was felled by a snapped seatpost.  You'll never guess what that post was made of.....juuuuust sayin.
If #'s are your thing...here is my file with a slew of PR's and a weighted avg of 300 watts...never seen that # before.
I'm going to shower now and try to walk upright the rest of the day.

@myles. It was carbon pasted in but its not coming out easily. I'm just destroying it. Will use aluminum now.
Or you know, you can just throw that bike in the garbage.

Aluminum post my foot.
Will use aluminum now.
Winner winner chicken dinner !
Not bad for some old guys (says the 37 y/o).  3 laps @ 27.5mph, ouch.

Wow if you lived on long island you could use strava group rides to get a
usac upgrade. ...

A burly ride for sure Yaks!

Sorry to have missed it; just wasn't feeling the mojo this am.  Too many nights on short sleep.  Didn't want to dig a hole I couldn't get out of.
I wonder where Rag's got that post....I'm a little "spicious" that it was a Chinese knock off.  There wasn't even much post exposed = not alot of leverage there.
Mystery solved

someone's gopro...you can sort of see the leadout I was giving Ian towards the very end when we are passing the rink...we are near the curb.  The sprint wasn't fast...as I think everybody had shot legs after that slog
My legs being good my seat post failing makes me go grrr.
Eric seriously where did you get that post?  I was very close to buying the same one because it was tested to have the best vibration dampening (see aluminum frame). Me's thinks it must have been counterfeit ?
Warranty!

I got mine from the same dealer as Eric. not counterfeit.

Luckily, I need to replace mine with a zero setback, so Eric you can have mine for free if it helps.
still...
Does yacks smell what the Rock is cooking?

@Ragot, I have a K-force light SB25, 32mm that I bought from The Pros Closet on Ebay (legit but used). I'll sell for what I paid if anyone's interested (under $60 from memory).

The knock-offs are easy to spot as they have wrong clamp configuration.
at that price...I'll take 2
