@johnmalcolmson. I'll take it. Set it aside. @perlberg, I think yours is 20mm setback, but if not, I'll take it as a backup.

The post was legit. Ride Brooklyn will call, but doubts it will be covered as the claim will likely be overtightened. Though, I never went over 5nm because I overtightened a carbon post before. Cest la vie.

Swear up and down that you used the right torque (if you in fact did), note you're a loyal customer, that this will destroy your loyalty, that you're a prominent member of one of New York City's largest racing teams, that other cyclists do consult you about equipment choices, etc.  Just keep gushing until it makes more sense to give you a seatpost.  Even if Ride can't get it worked out you can contact the retailer and tell them how disappointed you are that their product failed.

I have a deep and abiding love for warrantying things, please excuse my excitement at this opportunity.
Ragot, maybe Brendan will take up the case on a contingency basis...

Nobody would have guessed...
Roll Call! Register today

After an unnaturally long break between L&C cup races we have one this and next weekend.

We have two goals: lead out Brendan so he can get the yellow and defend the KOM jersey.

We need teammates to execute the lead outs. I will post the plan, but if you are looking for advice or inspiration go back and look at my KOM strategy posted AFTER the last L&C race and Yacks' link to Brendan's video demonstrating expertly executed KOM lead outs from last year.

I'm in Pat. Looks like we have limited numbers this race. I don't see Shoy : )
I won't be there but I'm curious how the lead out for the finish will work out with the new finish line. Start at the bottom of the hill and hopefully get a gap by the top?

Great question. I'd like to hear some opinions from peeps who raced the R&A race with this finish line last weekend.

If I understand where the new finish line is then we definitely want to be organized at the top of the hill which requires the lead out to be organized before the the hill. I expect the pace to be fast going up the hill and this is not the time for teammates to be trying to move up into position.

We want to get organized between the "classic" finish line and the start of the hill, but we will want to make sure we have enough legs to drill it. We want to make sure we don't leave Brendan solo too early. I anticipate we will need 1-2 guys to lead him out once we crest the hill.

New plan!

After having watch Patrick nail 26.5mph or whatever it was for 10 miles last weekend, screw this leadout crap. Lap 2 get him OTF solo to gobble up all the KOM/Sprint points over the next 4 laps.  Like a hero.  Will totally screw with Louisgie's head.

Do I get to wear a skin suit and ride my TT bike? And Adam, it was 26.95 mph. Don't steal my .45 mph from me!
Skinsuit DEFINITELY

TT bars, no, but you can fake that:
I was in the R & A race with a pretty good view of the finale sha-bang.  Ragot was ahead of the pack in the break...anywho you want that lead out to start before the old start finish line or even at the rink parking lot if you can line it up.  The hill is dodgy enough on a normal last lap.  If you have 1 strong rider that can launch up the hill that may be all you need.  You want to put your sprinter 1st at the top of the climb with a clear shot at the line.  It's not going to be a normal sprint...you are sprinting after going uphill for a full minute...at that point the finish line is still 1 full minute away.  The guy who wins will likely be someone with great 2 minute power.  If you are any worse than 5th wheel when you pass the entrance at the top you are probably out of contention.  Ragot led me out twice up that hill last weekend...twice I had to hang on for a sprint point.  I'm telling you after the climb it is NOT a sprint...it's a TT and it feels like you are pedaling through wet laundry.  Put your train together and put 3 dudes who can TT in front followed by your sprinter and as many sweepers as you can find.  #1 guy pulls from the rink to the old start finish, #2 pulls from old start/finish to base of climb, #3 guy pulls from the base of the climb to the KOM spot on the hill and then your sprinter makes his TT move for the line.  You want your sweepers to soft pedal up the climb.
If you watch Jules' video from last weekend from 38:30-40:30 you will see it is a full  2 minute effort.  That climb is going to bottle neck and guys are going to be moving all over looking for the line that is moving the fastest.  Get IN FRONT EARLY.  Give your guy a chance. yacks

Fatboy coming.
I'm in for the 1/2/3.

Looks like I've got Ragot, Strika, and Vollbach for company.

Anyone else coming out to play?

I may wet my beak...
When is this shit? Ive got the voodoo jew coming out next week to "easy ride" so a pp race is probably a draw. ....
I'm out... SPEED TEAM obligations.

State TT Champs. I'm out to teach Margarite a lesson.
I'm in.
Sad to say I'm traveling.  Going to miss both weekends (this & next)

sad panda
I'm in

i'm out - at a wedding.
Ill be there. Feeling real blocked up however.
Bump

pre-reg closes at 7pm.

Brendan and I are going to need help. Shoy is registered. I'd like to see enough teammates to make lead outs for BOTH the KOM and Yellow a possibility.

Got some strong legs (and fat butts - like mine!) starting to sign up.

Calling the rest of the Cat 4 crew: Ian, Nialls, Aaron, David, Thierry, Tim and the ever elusive and mysterious Harry
Sorry guys – I'm at giro this weekend. would love to do both but four races could be tough ;)
I'm in.
I'm "in" or whatever that means for being Chunky A.
Sorry Patrick but I have to be in LI for a family reunion that day.
Pat let's see if we can try and pull off what Yack showed us in his video
123s - any thoughts on this one? Seems to me that the new finish merits discussion about what we will do if...
@Patrick Jones‌ I'm at Giro this weekend too, sorry cap, I will definitely be around for the next one.
