William, is squirrel one of your portion control strategies? There is not much meat on those little buggers.

not really

preparing/cooking them takes hours

by then, i've usually drunk 6-8 beers and eaten dozens of stinger waffles . . .
Here's a way to combine your beer and squirrels.

this is my brother darryl, and this is my other brother darryl.
this is WDC's version of the Paleo diet.
What?!? A gun to kill a squirrel!!! Real men use their cunning, wit & bare hands!

BTW, that squirrel beer is one of the most expensive beers around.
166.5 on the scale this morning....progress!
Yeah Buddy, congrats!!!
Down to 153.5 this morning. I feel BLOATED now because I've downed a gallon of water in the past 4 hours. I should be ready for racing tomorrow.
my Withings WiFi Body Scale came in the mail a few days ago

autmoatically syncs to the web and shows your progress over time

i dig it
lotsa dudes gettin' skinny to get into those fly new kits!
only problem with the scale is that it recognized my weight as 164.5 at all times

BUT IT STILL SYNCS TO THE INTERNET GOOD!
WDC and 164.5 -- these figures don't seem to go together. Calibration?
Bo and I just split a 44oz porterhouse and 1/2 lobster appetizer. Oh yeah and cake. I don't think I'm don't want to know what a wifi scale would tell me right now.
Rib eye. Duck confit. Negroni. Allegash curieux. Chheses. Lobster salad. Strawberry shortcake.
Unmmm. Sharing is caring. Tired stuffed.
Well since we are talking drinks as well I got a "new old fashion" and some sixpoints RR.

My dad got this burrata / watermellon salad that was pretty killer, who would thunk it?

WDC - we thought you were just bringing your 30lb cat on the scale with you every time.
for the record, the cat actually weighs 164.5 pounds . . . wait . . . SHIT!
Split half a dozen oysters and a whole duck with a buddy tonight. Cheat night is wonderful!
Still floating between 176 and 177, however my activity has been picking up a bit so I am hopeful to continue on the journey to 160. I may *gasp* start running just to mix it up a bit... (FML)

(No idea how well it works.)

174, and I'm hungry right now. Damn.
eat some water or black coffee...its a good appetite quencher.
Lol - thread title change:

"Weight Loss Discussion: Eat Some Water"
Sooo...Bicycle Habitat is planning a "biggest loser" competition for the employees, with the projected prize being some sum of $$$ and a bike (possibly a Globe Roll 8: http://www.specialized.com/tw/en/globe/GlobeProduct.jsp?scid=1105&sid=12Roll). I'm thinking about doing it, mostly to try to win the prizes and to do something communal with my co-workers, but also as a motivation to improve my eating habits a bit. Apparently the competition is based on fractional fat-to-muscle mass ratio, so I should in theory have just as good a chance at winning as some of the heftier folks at the shop - I think I just have to turn a greater percentage of my overall weight to muscle than anyone else.

Any thoughts about how to best go about this? I'm thinking carbs go first of course, especially the "white" ones, but what else?

Not sure I'm gonna commit to this - I already have enough restrictions on my diet as-is, and if I completely take out all the pleasure of eating from my life I might end up going postal on some fools.
How are they going to measure?
Holding at 174, leaving for vacation tomorrow morning, weight loss effort will be in full effect while away, hope to come back closer to 171-2... Have a great week, if anyone is in Philly for the pro race on Sunday I will be at the Cannondale tent on Lemon Hill, drop by and say hi and have a beer.
