Weather is looking good for next weekend. I am planning to see you guys out there
When is this ride? Sunday February 13? At what time?
Is there a way to get the route , not via strava ?

Carrier pigeon, or perhaps a parchment scroll...
Maybe ride with GPS?
Maybe ride with GPS?
I'm sure I can send you a .fit or .gpx if that would help.  I guess I could put it on ridewithgps as well.

We've done many iterations of the years.  I think the 2019 is probably what we should do, though I think we'll likely have to make one slight detour.  Maybe two.

What would you like?

Any of the above will work
TY
@Mark Taylor

You might have to friend me on RWGPS, but this probably should do the job for you

Looking forward to the SBC

we've met at 9am at GWB (8am BB) in the past. Same for Sunday Feb 13?
For those who want to go halfway, you can ride from Bear Mountain across the Bear Mountain bridge, to Cold Spring, Garrison, or Fishkill  Peekskill and take Metro-North back to the city.  I'd recommend Fishkill Peekskill. It's the closest of the regular stops.  It's a narrow road, but the descent is pretty awesome.
I'm likely to take this option , Thanks

Assuming you meant Peekskill

D'OH.  Yes!
The forecast is for overcast conditions, near freezing temps and light afternoon precipitation up around piermont Sunday. Saturday is partly sunny with temps in the high 40 to 50s.

Do the riders planning on doing the Super Bowl ride had the ability and interest to move it to Saturday?
I'm open to either day.
My app is saying snow Sunday , I would be up for joining the ride Saturday , for part of the way at least .
First, according to what I'm seeing on Weather.com, it says 45%.

More at issue is I don't know who else can switch.  I don't want anyone who planned on going to be left out.
I can do either day.
anyone anyone who was planning on going not able to make it?
I'm in for Saturday (won't be able to do the full ride but that's cool with me)
I’d love to join the Saturday group! (I’m a total wimp when it comes to riding in cold weather)
Can we get a head count for Saturday and Sunday?

BTW, looks like Sunday will merely be cold, not rainy or snowy.

Use the "hotness" button to indicate you can make it Saturday or Sunday.

Use the "agree" button to indicate Saturday only.

Use the "disagree" button to indicate you can only make Sunday.

Use the "off topic" to state you're not making it at all.

Also, has anyone posted to Slack on this?
This was posted on slack with a link back to this thread. We’re covered.
I am in for saturday!

Looks like Saturday it is!
I'm up for Saturday. It's an open question how long I'll last.
Saturday 8am Brooklyn Bridge. 9am GWB.

Some will ride all the way to Bear and back, some might ride to Bear and take a train back, some might turn around before Bear. See you all tomorrow.

Some might wake up and do it all again on Sunday.
Great team ride.  Nice to meet you. Nice to see you again, it's been a while, how's the family.
Prepped everything the night before and kitted up early and then spent 20 minutes trying to pair the speed sensor with the non-trainer wheel so got to the BB just as everyone was pushing off.
Two tourists waiting for the light smiled and nodded and I remembered a thing about riding outdoors in team kit, especially in front of, presumably, Europeans who know a thing or two about cycling and like to see it.
Nice core group that was open to this old man showing them where a hidden park bathroom is while heading up the Hudson.
12 or 14 at the GWB with the sun out but cool in the shade reminding me this is still just February.  A sea of Kissena kit and small groups catching up.  Makes my heart swell after so much winter, indoors, isolation, pod groups.
Sort of double paceline along the low road, going to need some more practice, and sort of single file at times, practice indeed, but outside, the sun, and the furious bees trapped in various rear wheel bearings as we work on cadence.
I'm turning early, any takers?!
Okay, see you.
I stopped to stuff my face and then rolled back along 9W, the road that's like an old high school friend, you hanging in, doing okay, yes I'm heading down this path once again but this time with more experience, still trying to do it right, a work in progress.
I named my various cramps with sexy, spiteful names and we all had a good laugh.
At home, I ate every leftover, and hours later can still feel the heat coming off my body.
Nice to see everyone, looking forward to more group rides and getting to know more of you, I hope everyone else had a great ride.
My 65 miles + my age means I rode over a century.  Success.
Great to read your reports again Bruce ,
that’s a metric century there👍
No one writes ride reports as enjoyable as Bruce

come out more often my friend
