Well this is the time of year where Yacks starts typing in caps about how he's going to slay his teammates in 6 months when road racing starts, so at least this year he can now do that to teammates who will be on another team by that time.

FWIW, we lost 2 road cat IIs. JP and I are still very much on the team. And Dale Suttle is a road Cat 1.

I don't know if this needs to be said as there's lots of GIFy joy, and good natured trash-talk, and that's good.

Now me and Yacks are going to start our own club too called Triangle Cyclists.  The weak need not apply.  Well, actually, weak people can apply too.  I have not ridden a bike fast for almost 2 months so I am not sure if I will even get into my own club! Oh-magheeeerrrd.  

Club sized clothing is for old guys who get fluffy in the winter (me).  Next season I will be "race fit" svelte.  I too am accepting kit donations.  I will need to use Billy Mays' entire catalog of products to launder out the treachery and desertion...but I kid. (never saw this post going sideways...love you guys...really I do).

Hi all,

It's been a while! I moved back to NYC from London at the start of November. It's great to be back. Overall, I had a good year in London - I enjoyed being closer to family and old friends. On the cycling front, I dabbled in the track league and various meets at the venerable Herne Hill track and a little at the Olympic velodrome (as well as far too much on my trainer). I actually rocked the Kissena skinsuit too, to the bemusement of the London track crowd. Annoyingly, my big target for the year, the Irish national team sprint and keirin champs never happened. After travelling to Dublin, they were postponed on the day due to the weather (it rains a lot in Ireland it turns out. Who knew?) and subsequently re-scheduled the weekend of my brother's wedding. A little frustrating (assume you know about the British knack for understatement).

Unfortunately this is something of a "hi and bye" because, as you know, I am joining the new Somerville Sports Ride Brooklyn team with Eric and the gang. It's bittersweet because, while I am excited to be part of the new set up there, it goes without saying I had a great two-plus years at Kissena. Joining the club really helped me get my enthusiasm back for the sport and most of all, I met some great people. I also really enjoyed introducing people to track and had some great times down at the heap of concrete that is NYC's only velodrome. Suffice to say, I really hope I will see all of you at the track (whether here or beyond) and at the bar. First and foremost, I look forward to catching up with lots of you on Thursday!

Hi all! 2015 is almost here and as most of you already know I will be moving on to the Sommerville Sports - Ride Brooklyn Factory Team for next season. I'm very excited but also will very much miss riding/racing with a bunch of you who have become my friends on and occasionally off the bike. I don't think anything will change there, but now I will just have to kick your asses when you bravely show up to the track ;P

Seriously, I can't be more thankful for this awesome club (think it's been 4yrs?) as it destigmatized the ass-hole roadie culture for me and later allowed me to discover my passion for track racing. Also, I could not have had the type of personal success I did on the track last season without the Jeff White's, Andy Da Silva's, Kayt's and Jesse Lash's (too many to name actually) pushing and inspiring me throughout the long season. Seriously forever grateful guys!

I'm also extremely proud of what Anti/Anti has been able to do with the kit redesigns and glad I got the chance to be part of that from the inside, working with some amazing humans here on the club to make that happen. I'm not taking the new kit design with me, so all you guys will still be looking sexy next season, don't you worry

2015 will be a new adventure for me and a new team, with a heavy focus on seeing how far I can take this track game, it should be fun. Wish me luck!

I really hope to see more new KCC faces and all the regulars at the track next season. Love ya Kissena! Happy 2015!
