I think the 3oz that a bell would weigh might be easier to get up the climbs than zip tying you to Eloy's handlebars. But thanks for the offer. 

True but a 3oz bell won't give you an eloquently narrated dissertation on the superiority of cyclocross racing over all other bicycle racing disciplines. 

I am pretty sure Detective Holihan will join us on some upstate cyclocross races.

the bell pictured did itself suffer an indignity and break during normal use. i e-mailed the bell company, attached that picture, explained what a potent performance weapon the bell was, and they happily mailed me a replacement...if memory serves, they didn't even ask for a receipt!  PED = performance enhancing ding

Subhuman scum stole our extracycle from in front of the kid's school last night.

I've been riding them to school on it for over two years. The kids call it the "Wump" (after Dr. Seuss' "Mr Gump has a seven hump wump") and used to sing songs together on the back - songs about riding on a wump through town.

Nobody is hurt, nobody is ill, and it's just a thing. Still, it's hard not to be a little bit heartbroken.
