OK, we'll leave it for tomorrow. A few folks on the mailing list were asking if it was still on, so I'll tell them yes. If the weather gets really nasty, Yang and Kayt, contact me or Jules to send out a cancellation as far ahead as possible!

Word up, we'll stay on top of the reports tonight. Even if we cancel, if it isn't bad I may still go out and do a ride with fenders on.

I was stopped by someone at the GWB this morning -- Alex, I think? -- who was insistent that there was a Kissena new member ride today. I told him that I was pretty sure it was yesterday, but the guy was kind of argumentative, offering to show the me the email as proof. I'm not sure what he was expecting from me, but he wanted something, and I was already done with my ride and heading back. I told him some guys were planing to get there around 10 if he wanted to wait.

Nothing more expected of you than you did Adam. Being able to read email is a prerequisite for joining the club, as is not being a pr*ck when there is a misunderstanding.

I changed the date a while back to Saturday from Sunday. That is likely the source of confusion. With 80 people on the list, there was bound to be at least one who missed it.

Hey y'all, since the new member ride this weekend got rained out, I would like to schedule one for this coming Sunday (Aug. 10). Looking at the calendar, this only conflicts with Tokeneke. The bigger issue is that I will be out of town for this date.

Can I get a volunteer to run the ride? And can whoever is willing/able to help out announce themselves here? It would be ideal to have at least a half dozen members of varying experience levels there to keep things honest. It's usually just a very mellow ride to Sparkill and back. No dropsies. So get your hard training in on Saturday or head over with any ballers who may show up to do Alpine repeats afterward.

@Jeffrey White - I'm signed up for the Silvermine Time Trial Sunday morning. If I don't do it, which is likely, I'll be happy to lead, guide or otherwise help with this ride.. Will let you know for sure by tomorrow morning.
