We're launching our first of hopefully many monthly Kissena New Member ride. If you are a new member of the Kissena club and would like to know more about the club. If you have a friend, co-worker, neighbor, random stranger or know somebody who would like to join Kissena but hasn't pulled the trigger about joining, send them to this ride.

This will be a casual ride with some paceline practice from one of the biggest bossypants in the Cat 4 field. Come with questions about racing, training and why Kissena.

This should be posted on our website (I put it on the calendar).

Lt. Dan will tweet it when the time is right.  That goes straight to the front page.

will there be new member 9am GWB rides in the future as well?

Andrew - generally our 9AM rides at the GWB attract a wide range of ability levels. Even if you show up on a non "new member ride" you'll find folks to ride with. We usually stick together for a bit and then split up into smaller groups based on ability / time available / how bad you want to race up hills for trinkets.

I saw Britt Lee Bowman yesterday, but I was deep in pre-race thought, so I forgot to ask her about going out for rides with our new woman member, Kim W. Any of you have her or other friendly-ish female brooklyn riders' email addresses for Kim to ride with?

Dan and all, I was really looking forward to this but managed to get into my boss' bad books this weekend. Alas me slinking off work early to make the ride might tip her over the edge, and me into unemployment (and subsequent deportation). Next time!

This ride is totally not mandatory. Employment and non-deportation is preferable.

Good times tonight.  A pretty strong turnout of new, old and prospective Kissenas.  

Sorry I couldn't make it. Didn't get home from work til 9. WTF. So much for summer vacation. Sigh.

Just wanted to apologize, I was chatting with Wes off the front and forgot to start my computer and didn't realize we were driving the pace up. Was a nice ride and good to meet more club members. I will try to attend the ride on the 13th as well. Thanks for organizing.
