wtf?  who runs it?
Keith Garrison I believe.  I've already tried with him.  I asked him about it and he said I could join.

@eloy?

Thanks Jules and Thierry.

I think I'll try Keith again.
waiting to hear back...

Thanks all for the info.

I reached out to Keith and he unblocked me.
Is it too soon to start talking rides to Cooper River CX?  I am looking for a lift as always.  Racing the 3/4 at the end of the day and willing to go in on a rental if need be.  Please let me know what works!
So, remember that snake I mentioned from Day 1 of Charm City? Here is is...

Headed to Cooper River on Saturday.

I'm racing the M45+ at 11:00am so would like to get there by 9:15 to get in some pre-riding.

I'll be leaving Park Slope at about 7:15. I have at least two open spots (and potentially three). That said, if a bunch of folks do the Cat 4s need a ride I could probably be convinced to leave an hour earlier.

I need to leave soon after my race - hope to be back in Brooklyn by 2:00ish.

Jim, I'll take one spot please. I'm signed up for the same race @ 11am.

You got it.
I reg'd for the 3/4 this Saturday.  It's at 3:30 PM.

I see Ott and Ginsberg reg'd for same field, carpool?  Who has a zipcar membership?  I have license and bike rack for 2 bikes but no car.  I live near GWB

e-mail or text probably best to coordinate: rigby.b@gmail.com (774) 219-4511

CAFFEINATED CROSS RACE REPORT:::::
before i could get the hang of it, announcement was called! ::5 minutes to ladies start:: so I had to boogie across the course and get to start. didn’t know what the other half of true course looked like!!!

Awesome, Tess, congrats! Cyclocross is everything you want cycling to be.

A season or two ago I wrote about what to do before a race, a pre race primer:

Thank you, Eloy! When are team cross practices? I can’t seem to find where they are posted?
I'm posting for a buddy Masa Ito from Veselka. He's looking to carpool for the 3/4 race as well. If you're looking to share (he doesn't have a car but will of course chip in), email him.

I hold a skills/drills day in Prospect about once every two weeks. I wont host one this week, but I'll hold another one next week (probably Thursday).

I post about them in the Prospect Park thread, usually a day or two before.

Look forward to seeing you and Greg there. It'll be amaze.

A forever favorite:
Cooper River appears to insist on the tiniest sand pit in the world

i was hoping they would realize how useless the sand was last year...
Proof we once got Johnny Wrongway out to a CX race...

Whirlybird! That was a fun race, my barrier jumps were de rigueur.
Cross posted from Supercross thread

The weekend before Thanksgiving, Kissena will be sponsoring Supercross Cup in Suffern NY. It's gonna be awesome.

We need YOUR help! The success of this race depends upon our volunteers and KISSENA in particular. I have emailed many members that I know directly. If you haven't heard from me or responded, please reach out to me so we can coordinate your participation. livetoridebikes@gmail.com

Benefits:
• Feel good putting on a kick ass race
• Have fun with your teammates and see what they look like without spandex and goofy orange helmets
• Get your registration fee reimbursed if you are racing
• Get entered into a raffle for a complete Van Dessel A.D.D. with Ultegra (open to all volunteers)
• Get entered into a raffle for a Van Dessel A.D.D. frameset open only to Kissena volunteers
• Get entered into a raffle for yet another Van Dessel A.D.D frameset for volunteers who help with teardown Sunday

What is a Van Dessel A.D.D.? Ask Max Thorn who is racing it this CX season after winning the frame for volunteering last year and check out the site here.

emil me or text me at 516-987-6404 and I'll answer your questions.

Historically, team members have carpooled to the race, although it can also make sense to get some cheap housing in the area. Our greatest manpower needs are early in the morning on Saturday and Sunday (registration is swamped) and Sunday after 5pm. We also have a need for help with setup on Thursday or Friday. We are willing to accept any reasonable offer for help. The more people chip in the better for everyone.

Thanks!

Tess raced Copper River today and it was a blast watching her. Rode down with Phil, that cheeky bastard. Shot the shit with Jim, the Phils, and Eloy. Couple pics attached. Sorry I didn't get more of people. I'm starting to feel like a soccer mom driving people to races, running around cheering, pinning numbers, being overly concerned with peoples safety.
CX Coming up this week.

DCCX.

Jess and I will make a weekend of it. Race is in the smack middle of Washington DC, and so will we, with a surprising large number of New Yorkers. Will be my first time there, If reports from previous years are true, this race takes over the quality of missed Providence. Mid Atlantic continues to fill the gap left by NECX favorites now gone.

Kutztown.

Reports of awesome abound. MAC stop. This is where most NYC cyclocrossers are likely to be found.

Marty Cross.

Another cool NJBA CX series race. Another New York CX favorite. NJ State Cyclocross Championships.

Want to go to this.  Need to check times.

(perhaps it deserves its own thread.)
DCCX is a party. Mark Bertucco won the 40+ 3/4 race.
