is it true, that you can do single speed option w geared bike but you have to use zip ties? how da fuq does that work?

on a sram shifter, a zip tie will prevent you from shifting. so pick a gear, zip tie your shifter and off you go. Single speed.

A little more complicated on a shimano shifter, but also possible.

Ellen had a great start at the Zeven Saturday, but eventually a mechanical got her out of contention.

She got revenge yesterday at the DVV series at Hamme. It is amazing to watch, as she seems just a notch above technically than any other women. Sanne Cant and Katie Compton are also amazing, and so much powah.

I snagged the last spot at Rainey for 1/2/3s.  I thought my season was over after a solid result in Chicago over Thanksgiving, but let's do it one more time!  Anyone want to preview the venue on Saturday?

Not rumored, but confirmed , from January 1st , always seems strange for a rider to switch equipment , just before worlds 

Those frames are so weird... but kinda like them with their high tech look. SRAM support has been using them for neutral support, including supercross.

Most of the course was set up today before the snows began. Soon after the snow started, the work crew was sent home so they wouldn't be driving once roads turned bad.

Tomorrow's; masters 45-54, masters 55+, and womens fields will be combined. They will have a NOON START!  They will be scored separately. As no one has registered for the Juniors field, there will not be a Juniors race. The; Cat 2/3/4, Cat 5, Single Speed and Fat Bike fields will race as originally scheduled. The delayed start will give the work crew time to complete the course set up Sunday morning after the Winter Storm Warning has been lifted.

Conditions will be accessed at the race site starting at 8 AM. Should the snow be too deep for cyclocross bikes or too icey or otherwise too dangerous to race, an email will be sent to you at 9 AM. If you don't get an email, then we are racing.

The bathrooms at the race site will not be open. Bathrooms in the park are available at Field 1 and Field 3, both a short drive from the course.

Please bring a paper copy, or photo, of your license for number pick up as cell reception is poor at the course.

Yeah, that thought had crossed my mind. I hope Keith has a good feel for what the parks department is willing to tolerate and makes the right call

In college we had a party at this kid museum called the magic house. the place got destroyed. people totally went ham on the joint. the magic house didn’t know any better. people making out in exhibits, smoking indoors, spilling beer everywhere. WASHU was permanently banned from ever hosting an event there again. but the Magic house kinda sucks so NBD, Rainey Park CX is pretty badass tho. 

Ground frozen and lots of snow and ice. great opportunity to pump up to max PSI. anything less is useless in these conditions. 

@GregStreiff it’ll be a mud fest by my 1pm race. Pretty sure I won’t be running more than 20psi.
