Correct, you need to be at least Category 3 to race the age group Master championships.
I believe that the competition is open when you're past 55 years old.
i wonder if there is a lantern rouge award I can try for…
UCI announced the CX World Cup schedule today. Big US news is Jingle Cross is no longer a World Cup. That’s too bad. Waterloo and Fayetteville are still in.
While there have always been iconic races that are not “world cups” the other races that are no longer part of the series reinforces the notion that World Cup does not mean “the best” but simply “we have a series that we promote heavily and favorably over other series because we are the UCI and we can do whatever we damn well please”.

What am I talking about? Well, Koksijde, Namur and Hoogerheide are also out of the World Cup. Let that sink in for a moment. Worlds will be at Hoogerheide and Euro champs will be at Namur (which is too bad as the North Americans often do well at Namur).  Koksijde Complained that costs were too high.

Only 13 of the 14 races have been announced. Maybe Keith still has time to get Rainey Park on the list!

I read London , may be the last spot

As much as I love Rainey Park, I have to imagine that world-class pros would be doing laps in the 3:00-3:30 range at Rainey.

Supercross at RCC would be a better venue.
There's a >> great backstory << on why Keith is holding that sign (he's definitely not serious).
What James said. It’s a joke. But let’s do it!

Handy hack for Cyclocross

oh I like this!
Team Cannondale Cyclocrossworld.com is no more. Long live team Cannondale Cyclocross World.

I need an unlike button. Sad to see them go
So glad VeloNews did some in-depth reporting on the matter...

https://www.velonews.com/news/cyclocross/cannondale-cyclocrossworld-com-to-cease-after-current-season/

(TL/DR: they reformatted the press release and added quotes they found in the comments)
I'm not sure there is any real "reporting" on Cycling at this point. I don't understand how we've gone from Oprah confessionals back to Maipei podium slams and guys putting minutes into the competition without so much as a peep.

It's almost as if...

@Jules

To be fair, there are tea leaves available.

A call to Cannondale isn't too much to expect.  A wonder why they're cutting the program when they had some really good years.  Speculation about whether it has anything to do with them being acquired by Pon.  Or if gravel is just so appealing that they are going to have more than just EF pros in the big gravel events, or if stepping up to the WorldTour with the women ate the budget.  It also might be worth asking how well CyclocrossWorld is doing.  Modern times seem to have eaten much of their market.

I saw a new post on the cyclocross section and immediately hoped it was somebody posting the 2022 race calendar!
NYSBRACX calendar:

Nearby are new race Croton Cross end of Oct., just up the river from Yonkers, and Rainey on the 19th of Nov.

MABRACX calendar:

Any rumors on the Randall's Island Wednesday practice??
no mention yet. but Keith will announce on the NYC CX facebook page and King Kog's instagram once he starts it up.
new local ish 2-day CX race just opened for reg. Croton CX Oct 29-30: https://www.bikereg.com/55832

one of the days conflicts with Oct. 30 Beast CX in NJ but who knows maybe 'someone' will do both it's only an hour's drive away.
James, I would suggest you write to both, one of them could possibly have some way/room to pick another weekend.
