Actually, put in age 1-99 and we still have the top 4 spots for Cat 4.

I'm not listed but I think that's because I just renewed my license this morning (once I saw I was missing from the list!)

i meant to do 40 to 55....4 out of top 5 spots. sorry did not mean to self-promote. on that list i am 5th after marc, jules and patrick....certainly good enuff for me......sorry boys.

No "sorrys" necessary...I think it's awesome that we generally have one of the best and most well rounded racing teams. I've said it before, but there is literally no other team in the region, that fields so many successful riders across multiple disciplines and multiple categories. We're totally legit, yo.

We need for our Perlberg's and McLoughlins to continue to get better, jump in some bigger "A-Masters" races next year with Ragot, get JP out to more than 3 races next year, and then we'll have the top end of the cross scene covered too.

thanx marc.....i felt kinda like a jerk.....not the way i roll. i am planning on going full tilt with cx next year, because i had such a good time this past season...aiming for those 40+ jersey races that i did with patrick...i'm hoping to have a closer look at his rear wheel next season!!! he kicked it..

On the same northern ride, I got to hear from Dan Chabanov and Britt Lee about their experience at Nationals. Both had the same mechanical, equipment woes that most of the racers suffered through. Namely, after a bike wash, the water would instantly freeze up cables preventing shifting.

BrittLee's pit crew "solved" this problem by ensuring that one bike, heading into the hills was in an easier gear and the other more substantial. She essentially raced the event on two "fixed gear" bikes.

Chabanov reports that some of the riders mixed anti-freeze with their power washers and that helped. Not the environment mind you (that shit is toxic), but that was one way to handle the freezing cables issue.

Gore Sealed Low-Friction Cables don't fail in ice.  What happens to the pivots on the derailleurs is possibly another story.

If you win 2 cat 4 races, or if you collect 15 points, you get auto-upgraded to cat 3.

In fields of 50 or more, a 6th place will net you exactly 1 point. So that still gives plenty of room for Cat 4 sandbaggers to hang on and still place well.

There is no StatenCX this year according to his website. The park is still too damaged form Sandy. Back in 2014.

My road season goals are over. So its cyclo cross build time!

Rumor has it, Hotlist has been checking bikereg.com for weeks now, hoping not to miss the big series cross races' registrations.

Whirlybird reg page is posted. Race is October 12th which is later than previous years if I remember right. Reg opens August 1st.

I think Whirlybird has, in the past conflicted with one of my beloved New England races that does not have a stupid cinnabon of death...

Whirly used to always conflict with GLOUSTAH (but now they do not, wooooh).
