Man who fell to Earth is an incredible movie, which was on my mind after a visit to Best Buy TV dept last week. But I am chagrined to say that I ACTUALLY meant a different David Bowie movie: The Hunger, where his vampire character crumbles suddenly after several hundred years due to some obscure vampire disease. So sorry for the confusion.

Anyway, anybody ever been to Fort Lee municipal court? Got my hearing tomorrow. If they're dicks and always fine you, unlike my NYC court appearance (where they were dicks but didn't fine you), I kinda wanna go ahead and sound off on their "enforcement".

at 5pm? my court dates are always at 9:30am.

Gonna be here for hours. This isn't as smooth as the NYC traffic violations. This is for anything. I'm waiting in line with 100 people for 1 judge.

I'd rather be waterboarded for 5 minutes than waste the 6 hours this is gonna take.

Heh. I'm standing in line with people who got tickets for stepping off the sidewalk before the signal had actually changed (jaywalking) and lots of cyclists who got ticketed for turning left onto the bridge bc they didn't keep far enough right long enough before turning. Oh, and some sort violation from a dude with face tats. Smoking gun where are you?

There's a fat cop here who's last name is "Buda".

Well. That was predictably horrible.  Stood around for almost 3 hours with no AC in a big line.  Then you meet the "prosecutor" who, and I've always wanted to say this, cuts you a deal!  Which in my place, meant gamble with $125 and $55 ticket plus $33 court fee and $6 processing, OR, he'd let the $125 one go (reckless endangerment or careless driving or something) and I pay the $55.  What a racket!  Of course, the fact I was guilty and I'd already been there so long meant that it wasn't much of a choice.  Saved me $125 but cost 5 hours of precious precious life that I would've spent watching TV. 

I watched a couple of people argue their tickets and they got them anyway.  Judge looked like 2.5 Perry Masons.

You do not want to go to Fort Lee Municipal Court.

Any of you heard of Spcarbon Bicycles New York? A tri friend of mine itching for a proper road bike asked if I knew anything of them. Appreciate any input here.
