Has anybody heard of/know of this guy Jimmy Phillips? http://www.thedomestique.cc
I know someone here in Switzerland who brought him to my attention, and I'm wondering who this guy is, why I never heard of him in all the time I was racing and riding in NYC, and if he has any known reputation (good or bad).
@Nathaniel Miller

so a guy charges you $100 an hour to rent a bike and drag you up 9W to visit the Runcible Spoon.

He has 100% positive reviews on TripAdvisor which either suggests he makes them write the reviews before letting them know how to get back across the GWB, or it is totally faking them.
the merrick crit summed up in a single GIF:

I was in Vancouver last Summer , and my wife treated me to a similar package , a guy picked me up from my hotel , provided a nice Pinerello and lead me on a beautiful 5 hour ride in the hills ( and he waited at the top)
Though its not for everybody , i think is a great option for visitors(with money) to anew city  to explore the surroundings and have a little company

good luck to the guy

Had to buy it cause of the name.

Had to pour it out cause..... olives and strawberries?

found a picture of the dude that stole my bike

Speaking of pictures - the new KCC website is the #Hotness

Printer problems!  Since most of you have them, I'm wondering if the hive has some advice.

My printer (HP6830) seems to suffer from chronic paper jams when trying to print out multiple pages.  What seems to happen is that the mechanism for feeding the paper slips so that it can't make the 180-degree turn around the wheels to go from the paper tray to the print section.  I've cleaned the wheels many times with rubbing alcohol.  That seems to help a bit, then it goes back to the old problem.

I called HP.  Since the printer is out of warranty, I can either renew the warranty for $99 and have them advise and probably replace, or I can pay $89 plus tax at the local Staples for the updated version.  I hate replacing something that seems to be otherwise in good condition, but if I'm going to pay $99 and still have to ship the printer to them, seems like I'm still stuck schlepping the printer, and it could go bad in other ways soon as well.

The various sites that offer advice on the internet don't seem to have an answer.  I figure the problem is probably pretty small, like the wheels are starting to wear out, but, of course, I don't know for sure.

Anyone have this problem before?  Any suggestions on what to do?
Sounds dumb, but is the paper you are using dusty?
Printers are basically disposable now. Buy a new one every 12 months and a day. Drown  your sorrows for the dying planet in with some nice whiskey.
I was told at work that paper have a top and bottom as in, make sure it's facing the right way going into the tray.

don't think so.  We go through enough of it, that I doubt much dust would build up.  Further, it keeps happening on later pages.
