CAT 6 racing or "hipster racing" refers to commuter cyclists who race one another during their commutes to work. As opposed to CAT 5 roadbike racing, CAT 6 racing starts when a stranger riding a bike tries to pass another cyclist and the other cyclist speeds up rather than let them pass. This creates an impromptu "hipster race."

anyone have any advice on selling a bike on craigslist? i've never sold anything on craigslist before and would prefer not to get knifed.

craigslist is fine too, specially if you want a local buyer, and not have to pack and ship the bike.
Just use common sense.

I am also happy to post your bike to my old triathlon team. every bike I've ever wanted to sell, I've successfully done through my old group. my old mountain bike, 2 hybrids, my TT bike, and a single speed fuji.

There are certainly scams going on. That written, they're mostly pretty easy to smell. First one is when people promise you anything other than cash. The second is when they want you to ship it. You want to meet in a public place.

Am I the only one who thinks that Governors Island should host a crit? Its a 2 mile loop, so a bit long, but the pavement is in decent shape, the wind could create some drama, not to mention the race photos would be excellent with those views.
