Unsure where to post this, but.... I now have a soft date to move to Brooklyn. After some things last week, Amy and I talked things over and we did some planning with finances and stuff. So we decided on March +/- a month or two, for me to move into Brooklyn to the Crown Heights/ Bedford-Stuyvesant area.

This popped up on my YouTube feed today, pretty cool doc.

Well It's done. Signed the lease on an apartment in Brooklyn with Amy, also dropped off a large-ish certified check.  We should get the place Dec 1st. Goal is to Move Amy and the kids as first priority and get them out of the toxic environment they are stuck in. I will start moving stuff in as I go, and flip back and froth for a while ending in March, though I'm sure I'll be spending more and more time in Brooklyn... The past week was full of stress but we pulled this off in 6 days...

Question. Anyone know of a reliable moving company that's licensed and insured? We might need to hire one to move Amy out of her place. The new building has some restrictions on moving hours and stuff, but I'd do the work but since her ex -a*****e lives in the space he won't let me in anymore. She does not have a tremendous amount of stuff, and the place is literally around the corner, though have to take a slightly longer way due to one way streets...  I suspect it would take them maybe 2 hours at the very most to move her stuff.

I always used Dumbo Moving and Storage (on 3rd Street in Park Slope). Used them 3 times and they were always great (and ended up giving us a local neighbor discount so it was reasonable price wise)

It's quite the collection of random movies. You can see Michael Caine, David Byrne and Bobcat Goldthwait amongst others. I don't even think I knew Bobcat was in a movie other than Police Academy

What's weird is that some were huge at the time (the Mission, Year of Living Dangerously, etc) then you've got Pluto Nash and American Ninja V... is this a fever dream?

He was in one of the greatest holiday movies of all time: Scrooged which was Bill Murray's comeback film after a long hiatus.

Greatest movie of all time , it’s not even the greatest Bill Murray movie of all time , that’s “ the man how knew to little” which is by far the most accurate portrayal of an American of all time 

"Great movies" must be done by category. It's a mountain I'm willing to die on.

I mean it might squeak into his top 5 depending on if you consider Ghostbusters a Bill Murray flick:

1. Groundhog Day
2. Ghostbusters
3. Lost in Translation
4. Scrooged
5. Stripes

What About Bob is really a Richard Dreyfus film that Murray shines in. I would consider Rushmore a better example of Murray's superb supporting character chops.

Also my hot take - The Life Aquatic was not very good, despite its cult twee following and my own love of most things Wes Anderson. I left the theater disappointed and rewatched the dvd over the years hoping for a revelation. But nope. Meh.

Its Called "what about Bob " , not "what about Dr Leo Marvin "
