Where is it getting tense? Nobody asked anybody to help them. If it relates to me, I don't think that I don't play the teammate v JP and I have been teammates do long we just know how to rave together.

I took JP s lost to mean that there is another angle to college for grants that I didn't include.

Owens brings up a good point. Clearly our Cat 1/2/3 squad is fractured. We should get together and do some light planning or at least discussing. Because at this rate, we're going to be racing like Mengoni. Everyone on this squad deserves support in races, but if we're not willing to support each other when one dude is "off-peak" and another dude is "on-peak" then f-it.

I know I tried to make this un-serious with the kitty pictures, but I'm taking the bait and making it serious again.

Unless someone is targeting grant's tomb and ASKING for team support - why should anyone feel the need to go except that it is local favorite for some? I mean, we all have our little races we love and go to every year, that doesn't mean they are a team event.

I'm just saying (and I think I'm interpreting Eric here but won't put words in his mouth) if you or JP or anyone else is going after Grant's Tomb for a result - say it loud and clear and I'll be the first to come out and offer my services to do whatever I can (disclaimer, I got dropped on this course 3 years ago and managed a mediocre pack finish 2 years ago but hey at least I didn't get hypothermia). I'd bet Eric, Ryan, Joe, Dan, Vlad etc. would all get our asses in gear and be on the start line for whoever it is that is putting themselves out there as a contender.

In the meantime, we're just a bunch of dudes looking for the best way to get into shape and have season long success. I don't think that it is fair to call us fractured for that. You know this group comes together whenever someone is killing it and seeks out support. In the meantime, we kinda do our own things and I'm OK with that.

Agree...we should ask for support. But I don't think that's JPs style. And he has a legit shot at top 10 if he doesn't have to chase down everything site. And JP is 100% correct when he says that this race, more than most any I've done, very much becomes a team race. It's would be a nice opportunity to play like a team. But you're right. If we want support, it's on us as individuals to ask for help.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programing...
