And speaking of sponsors, and Redbeard, if you're thinking about some CX this season, now is the time to start looking into bikes, as it can take some time to order or get fitted, and CX practice will start sometime in August.

Eloy I am very impressed with the new Neugent hubs...they roll super smooth in your hand...they are simple to maintain and they don't seem to get contaminated.  I've been kicking the crap out of my aluminum tubulars and their indifference to my efforts mocks me.

Is there an approximate time for the next Stages group buy? If I recalll there was talk of having one this summer or has the procedure changed?

The pricing is very good and will often beat anything you can find on the internet. They can get a whole host of stuff - vector pedals, garmin headunits, elite bottle cages, etc. So please give them a ring or stop by if you are thinking of any bike product purchases.

Thanks Craig While I did ask the question (my power tap training wheel finally gave up the ghost) I've heard a number of complaints about the battery etc in stages and JP mentioned they are coming out with a redesigned arm... So I might wait until that one comes out. Not sure yet

@Dan Reiners   For the POC helmets, I've been told by Redbeard that they are doing a batch order.  If anyone else wants to order a helmet, please contact Redbeard, as they will not be able to order until a certain number is met.

Update on the POC helmets. The batch order is nearing the number they want to make an order. So if you're sitting on the fence, this is a good time to do it.

Get a new helmet for CX season, or if you're thinking of dressing like a knock-off storm trooper from Space Balls, for Halloween now is the time to get in on that.

Thanks Craig - quick question. A number of stages meters are on close out. How do we figure out our cost if we are looking at a close out meter? Close out price or is that discounted as well?

Its also discounted.i bought my stages dura ace 7900 power meter when it was on close out for $450, Redbeard gave to me for $350.

short answer is that i'll have to check with Redbeard on that, but I guess Chaim's experience is a good example.
