Anyone have an update on the brain buckets?

Ilya is having trouble with the POC relationship. Apparently they are very poor at communication. That is the last I heard. I get the feeling they are supply-constrained.
ok
I spoke with Ilya last night. He is supremely frustrated by POC. He'll give us an ETA as soon as he has one. (An interesting aside, they sent a letter (the kind with a stamp) indicating he was accepted into their dealer program. It is the only company that didn't send the notice via email).
Sorry to hear they are having a hard time with POC...but happy to hear it is moving forward...those helmets are the bees knees

Moving forward is good.  I think POC will be a performance-enhancing change.  I figure the Octal has better cooling and better aerodynamics than the Rudy.  Faster is good.

i think we should get some of these going for caps
POC update. The helmets have partially shipped. The smalls and larges are on their way. The mediums are supposed to ship tomorrow.

i ordered a medium and will probably not pick it up , you can take over my order ,if thats, ok with Redbeard
Mark Taylor, do I just go and ask or would I have to send payment to you?
I ordered a small and might need a medium.  I'll find out soon.

As an FYI, I ordered OSMO through the official channels and it took about 12 days to get here using the cheapest shipping option ($11 for 2 canisters via UPS ground). Not complaining exactly, but do want to give y'all a heads-up in case you are running low and thinking about ordering.

you pay redbeard when you pick up, just let them know you are picking up my order

I believe shipping doesn't get much more expensive the more you order.  I ordered six canisters and two bottles, and I don't think I paid much more for shipping.  It could be just the way that shipping costs are done, it could be them trying to encourage larger orders--to minimize their labor on items they're selling for very low margin.

My suggestion for the future is to either order more or to get others to go in on the order with you.

Let me know the next time you order. And how much shipping is.

I just found my order.  It was $13.02 for shipping, which covered four six cans, and two water bottles.
POC Helmets update (good news and bad)

Some of the helmets have arrived. If you ordered a small or a large in the standard road helmet or an aero helmet in any size - your helmet is at Redbeard.

If you ordered a medium Octal (there are 12 of you) the Octal in the orange color are back-ordered and not expected to ship until September.

For the medium heads among us, you can (1) wait until September, (2) get the same helmet in white, (3) switch to the Aero helmet in orange, (4) switch size to a small or large, or (5) cancel the order.

I've added a column to the spreadsheet for you to elect your choice. I've highlighted the names that this issue impacts as well. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P3ZdfSl8GOCFl6bWLo_UOo_fx2xxd3Svp_PJJof-ZI0/edit?usp=sharing

For those of you whose helmet has arrived, Redbeard is open today until 8 and tomorrow until 6pm and this weekend (10-6 both days) but closed Memorial Day.
ok. thanks, Craig.
Changed mine to large. If Redbeard has extras I'll grab it now. Else, I'll wait for a new shipment, just let me know what is best.
Thanks for following up Craig.
Any idea if Ilya has any general stock? I would like to try  on another size just to see (though I was smack in the middle of medium so I'll probably need to go a different route).
There are some other sizes at the shop now. Small and Larges that have yet to be picked up.

Here is another option (Option 6) - you can get the MIPS version for $25 more. They are in stock with POC and would be in the shop within a week or so. If you want that please note that in the spreadsheet referenced in the above post.

This is what the MIPS version looks like (white trim vs black trim):

Octal AVIP MIPS
Craig, Does this mean the smalls and larges are at the shop?
Yes. The smalls and larges are at the shop. I wore my small this morning.
And it looked good @Craig Zolan  when I spied it from across the road. I actually wanted to stop and try it on but was in the middle of an interval. I'm going to try to get to Red Beard to try on a S or L and make my decision. I think I like the black trim better.
I picked up my large POC. It is my new favorite thing.

Thanks Red Beard!
did a quick stop at redbeard to try sizes on, will go with the medium MIPS (+$25)
looking forward, can't wait.
I think I'm going that route...do you usually run a medium helmet?
I've been wearing a Medium Rudy (that the club gave me last year) but almost every year else I wore a Large Rudy. The medium Rudy works fine in warm weather, but wont fit my winter stuff (it is too small)

In any case, tried a Medium POC and seemed to fit fine and have plently of room, so Medium POC MIPS for me.

I hath changed to MIPS+25....my brain needs all the help it can get
Sixpoint! June 6th! (get it, "6/6?)

We're going to lead a mellow group ride (probably from Redbeard to the Sixpoint Brewery via Prospect) and need volonteers to help keep things organized.
