Hey all - Anyone interested in getting a group Wahoo Kickr order together? I need want need one.

I'm going to chat with the Redbeard folks later this week about pricing - more people = better deal......
Bump. I know its probably the most antithetical day of the year to think about riding indoors but I'm going to place my Kickr order pretty soon. Would be great to have more folks to bring the price down. Anyone interested?
(maybe the wrong place for this question...) but any thoughts on if the Kickr is quieter than a typical trainer? I got reamed out by my landlord last winter for riding my trainer above his apartment, and had to do an instant return... I'm not sure I'm willing to be screamed at again, but I would love to hear more about it...
It's much more quiet. Also, buy the mat.

Also, if you have a room with a tile floor (kitchen?) it will likely transmit less vibration/white noise below. But yeah, the mat, get the mat.

This.
Good to know. I had the mat! Maybe worth a second try... depending on how gutsy I'm feeling. Unfortunately I don't have any tile.
Also key: Trainer specific tires. I have the cheap Vittoria version on a cheap rear wheel dedicated to the trainer and it is several orders of magnitude more silent and with less vibration than the road tires (I use continental gp4000s).
Hope everyone saw Redbeard's email. If you'd like a Giant for next year, you will need to pre-order by October 1. Stop by the shop or give them a call to discuss.
In case you didn't get the email:

Giant Bike Orders due 10/1!

Please submit your Giant bike order to Redbeard Bikes by October 1st for delivery by spring. All orders will require at least a small deposit (20%).

Grassroots pricing will NOT be available outside of this order (and availability cannot be guaranteed). Last year there were very few bikes available; this year the demand is higher, and Giant will not have any surplus inventory to sell below full retail price.

The bikes are produced specifically for Kissena (separately from consumer inventory), therefore Giant needs the orders in advance.

How to order? Swing by the shop to talk to Ilya. You are welcome to set up an appointment by calling (718) 858-2453 or emailing redbeard@redbeardbikes.com. Or, just drop in! (Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri: 10-8pm. Sat/Sun: 11am-6pm. CLOSED Wednesdays.)

We look forward to getting many of you on Giants this year!

Ilya + Kasia

P. S. Please remember to tag us (#redbeardbikes) in your photos on social media!

If you want to purchase a Stages power meter - please note what you want on the Google document. Make sure to enter it on the tab labeled Summer 2015. We'll close it down on Aug 28.
I see only Patrick on the order form. Redbeard will place the order by end of day tomorrow - Tues Sept 1. If you want to place an order, speak now or forever hold your peace. (Or until the fall for spring delivery - assuming this program is still in place. There are no guarantees from year to year on this).

Anyone tried to order Osmo lately?  The Kissena15 code isn't working for me.
Yes. New ordering process for OSMO. You'll need to have an account with OSMO and then it'll be programmed for you to get the discount. For those people who have ordered using the discount code before, you can just log in and you'll get the discount. For those who haven't, please send an email to Lisa Hunt at OSMO: lisa@osmonutrition.com and please copy sponsorship@kissenacycling.com. Lisa will get you set up with an account and email you the login info.

I'll get the Sponsor document updated soon.
Nevermind, found it.
When will the next stages power meter order be?  I realized that I should probably order one.
The last one of the year went out. The next one will be in the Dec / Jan timeframe - assuming that we have the same deal as this year. It was a one year deal with no commitment on their part to continue. That said, it was the second year of the program with no changes so I have every reason to assume it will continue.

[edit] just went to the Stages website to see what the latest is and found photos of former KCC Brittlee plastered all over the page.

Yes
Okay, so how do I sign up?
you just did :)
Somehow missed the new member 3 month free action. Already paid my 50 for Oct-Dec. Any way to credit this towards my next 3?
Did the same as Justin, missed the deal and now registered and paid for the the next 3 months. If I missed the boat, I missed the boat. But will humbly accept a credit if eligible.
Sign me up for the new member 3 months too, please and thank you!
I just signed up & paid about a week ago too. Didn't realize there was a new member deal but if its possible to get credit, that'd be cool
we'll get you sorted folks
Hi everyone! I wanted to let y'all know that we have Gore Bike Wear winter clothing in stock, in case you want to supplement your Kissena wardrobe.

In particular - we have thermal and Windstopper bibtights, thermo vests, base layers, Phantom jackets (with zipoff sleeves), lobsters, and regular winter gloves.

I know it's a bit early but we've been getting questions so wanted to make sure you know we are ready for winter :)

We're always happy to special order other sizes/colors/styles as needed! Just stop by the shop.

I know there was a memo about this, but just chatted with a teammate at the races today and was reminded that the window for ordering a Giant closed. For all of 2016? Wondering when/if this window will open again, specifically for cross bikes?
