@Kasia Nikhamina if you have any bib shorts in large, then I’ll take one, maybe two 😎.
The next Specialized group order at RedBeard is going in on 4/1. If you are interested in ordering a Specialized bike, head to RedBeard and test ride a bike!
To pay for the KASK helmets, do we send via Family and Friends or Goods and Services?
Please pay with friends and family :)

Anyone have a sense how the Kask helmets fit compared to POC? M or L?
[Edit: here's sizing chart https://www.kask.com/en/support-sizes-guideline.htm ]

Anyone have a sense how the Kask helmets fit compared to POC? M or L?

John,
I was just in Redbeard today.  I wear a medium Poc.  I feel like I am in the middle of the fit range with the Octal, but my noggin seems to be on the big side of the medium Ventral.

The medium Kask Protone didn't fit.  The large did.
Hi all - still getting the hang of all the resources available on the forum, so if I missed something, apologies. I gather that Kask is the new helmet sponsor @mugwump ? I saw something about helmet subsidies being offered in one of the threads - what does that typically look like?
This is less a sponsor deal and more a sponsor question, apologies if not the best thread. Does anyone wear VeloToze? Do you like them, why or why not? I see they have a custom program and just exploring it as an option. Feel free to email me directly, kasia@redbeardbikes.com - Thanks!
Kasia

I used some for a few TTs and also for some wet/rainy races. They work pretty well. They look good, are aero and generally keep your feet dry (although in the 2017 bear mountain race my feet still got wet from water entering near the cleat).

You can reuse them (but use talcum powder to keep them from sticking to themselves). I don’t wear them regularly because they are a pain to put on and take off and if i need booties I’d rather put on zip up booties. They are generally well made, but essentially are like thick rubber gloves for your feet. Just like all rubber gloves, they will tear and don’t last as long as more traditional booties. Well taken care of you should be able to get a dozen uses. In a crash that may go down to one use.

Having siad that, RedBeard or Kissena VeloToze booties would be hot. I’d probably buy some
I've been curious about trying VeloToze booties.
@BrianStan Kask helmet order closes Friday night. $40 of your membership goes towards a helmet subsidy, giving you a below cost Kask. Order here:

Two options, Protone or Utopia (color orange only):

Awesome, thanks for the reference link @JohnMalcolmson, fantastic deal as well!
ATTENTION - with the addition of some new members, we will be keeping the KASK Helmet order open for a few more days.  I would like to have it closed by Thursday, March 28th. The deal is amazing, so don't hesitate and just pull the trigger!!! Please reach out if you have any questions or just want to chat 914-224-8920.
@Kasia Nikhamina et al,

I tried their helmet cover.  I can't get it to stay on my Poc Octal.  Maybe it's because I'm afraid of over-stretching and tearing it.
Will there be a scratch order in the near future?  I'd like to get in on it
Regarding the Kask helmet orders: I did not need a new road helmet this time around but I am in the market for an MTB lid. I know that this club is centered around disciplines where a road helmet is fine but if possible I would assume that there are a couple members, myself included, who would be interested in purchasing a bright orange Kask Rex MTB helmet for off road outings. Is this at all possible?
You can order an Kask Utopia or a Protone in orange, or both.

Certainly, one of those would be fine for MTB.
You can order any helmet you want directly from RedBeard and get your club discount. If you’re asking about the subsidy, it only applies to the above helmets for this order.

Pwrhaps if there is enough interest from members the board could consider Mtn bike helmets for a future bulk order
@Scott Kuhlke you can check with Erik, but I know that Kasia recently posted that she can order whatever you need if they don’t have it in stock. I’m sure they’d be happy to ship it to you
Once the order closes, do we have a rough idea of the turn around time for the helmets to come in? Apologies if it was mentioned and I missed it (I'm very excited to put a new bright orange lid on my noggin).
Guys I love my mountain bike , but seriously , if you start wearing peaked helmets, it’s all over now !
Just seeing @Matt Budofsky and while I can't guarantee a delivery date till I see the Fedex/UPS notification, it looks like we should have everything by early next week. I will post on here when I have a more precise ETA! Thank you all for your orders!
Also @Nathaniel Picard Busky we can definitely order you a Rex - even outside the bulk order it will be less than retail. Please msg me kasia@redbeardbikes.com or talk to me when you're next in the shop. Thanks!
If anyone DOES want a Rex helmet, it would actually help me. I need to order at least one to satisfy a silly requirement from Kask. Please email me!

@Nathaniel Picard Busky this is your chance!
ATTENTION MEMBERS! The Kask Protone helmets are in at Redbeard!!! Come on over and pick your helmet up at your earliest convenience!  The Utopia helmets will arrive next week.  That is all!
Payment for the Task helmets goes to....Kissena via PayPal? Redbeard?
good to see you surface @GregoryDonovan. please pay through Paypal (membership@kissenacycling.com)
@Will Kalbacker, I'm on vacation now, is it cool if I pay for the helmet when I go pick it up next week?
not a problem @BrianStan
