I think the next week will sharpen destroy our boy Tom's chances (while softening helping Roglic's) enough for so much that the long TT later in the tour won't matter
Realized i had a few typos in my earlier comment
I should be happy that my boy Carapaz won today, but Tom’s blow today hits most of us hard as many of us had him on our teams
so... new to this... once started, we can't make any changes to our teams, can we?
I hate to root against Tom D., but since I don't have him on my team and many of you do...well, we'll call it even because most of y'all have Yates and/or Roglic, too. Too early to say for sure but Jeff may have picked the podium in Roglic, Lopez, and Yates. This year I tried a new strategy: choosing the best riders that I thought the rest of you would overlook. The result is that I have Nibali, Landa, De Plus, and Bilbao to myself. Did no one pick Viviani because we all thought it was too obvious?
I thought it would be interesting to see who everyone chose for their teams in one place.

it's hard not be a bit down after today, but it is 3 looong weeks, at least Yates didn't destroy his knees, here hoping Dombrowski and Warbasse deliver ;)
My leaders have crashed once each, two of my riders have crashed twice
Superman all the way !🙏🏻
Tom Dumoulin abandons
My hopes for doing well in this Giro hinge upon Carapaz and Izagirre having amazing rides and Roglic imploding. Basically, small to nil
Oh I see I've been looking at the wrong league, the one without Eloy. Also just totally missed that Rob had picked Viviani. Thanks for the table, Patrick!
I'm surprised no one scooped up Ewan
Ewan had a really strong ride yesterday but I think he's over-hyped. An anglophone bias in English-language cycling media probably has something to do with it. Could also be the way he burst onto the scene in 2015 with his first WT win at the Vuelta, having just turned 21. He left the 2016 Giro without a win, but he notched one in the 2017 edition. Then in 2018 Mitchelton-Scott left him off their Tour roster. For comparison, Gaviria is the same age as Ewan and he's won seven stages in just two grand tour starts, the 2017 Giro and the 2018 Tour. But at 24 years old Ewan still has a few years until his prime. He'll probably get better. (Gaviria, too.)
Agreed, he's got more a lot of hype. I do like him though, mostly because he's pretty good at bikes and is my height lol.
so wait, no one answered my question, i am guessing it is not possible to change riders, basically, whatever we pick sticks no matter what happens?

it's my first time playing, but maybe remember in the past you guys discussing changes once an event started...
This is my first time as well but I think the teams are set in stone.

Just like the real teams :'(
Changes occurred during the spring season which was treated as a series. No changes during grand tours. Your only option is to get a voodoo doll and put a curse on Roglic
I would like to congratulate @Jeff Condon on the overall victory !

The hype is clearly not that convincing , seeing as know one here put him in their squads

On Masnada? Thanks, it’s a glimmer after losing Tom.

You have him too.. as does John and Jeff. Or am I missing something else that happened?

I thought you bought the doll , Roglic crashed
LOL   I bought the Pedro Delgado Voodoo doll that will make him show up minutes late to the TT :-)
Kill me now

Fernando Gaviria abandons Giro d'Italia

Yeah, but some guy I know who's really into professional cycling told me that he is over-hyped.
I saw Lauren de plus abandoned also ,tell me you didn’t have him in your team also @PatrickGrehan
Say it ain't so, Mark. I had De Plus alllll to myself....

On the other hand, how 'bout that Pello Bilbao?
I think 3 of your riders are going to light up the race , expecting some fireworks

Roglic has stupid ass crazy form, but:
1. Dude is suspect af
2. Giro ends four weeks from now. FOUR COMPLETE WEEKS. Ask Yates how long that is.
I was thinking about what @eloy said earlier.

Can we believe that two Slovenians performing so well in the Giro and TOC
is a coincidence , in light of all the recent Aderlass Affair
