Well at least my one Cofidis rider isn't one of the guys arrested today. That is my one shining hope here.

Although the scoring is a bit weird.  Casar has about 1/10th the points as Cancellara.  He cost only 2 points less. And he's about 1/1000th of a rider.  Whatever, he got on teevee and that's all that matters.  It was funny how the middle-break guys were totally forgotten by Eurosport, which focused only upon the Wiggles/Nibbles/Cuddles group and the front 4-5 rider group.  JENZ almost had it.

Oh, and magically, Voeckler's knee is better.  I can't stand that guy, but I guess he was a sure-fire pick. Although he cost 2 points MORE than Cancellara.

Is Hoogerland even still in this race? He's contributed a total of 0 points so far. He better pull a full day break in a transition stage or I am flying to France and break into his hotel room and make Vroom Vroom noises in his sleep. The guy has to get some results and soon or else he will be the biggest bust of my selection. Even Estaban and Farrar have garnered more points than him, and those guys have spent so much time on the tarmac you'd call them speed bumps.

Rolland and Estaban at least brought in some points today.

Cuddles grinding away getting a few points here and there, but no time on Wiggo is going to be a BORING and not very fruitful tour. Cuddles has to attack. I know 2nd pays well, but couldn't he just attack in the mountains. He's not battling two Schelcks he has to beat Wiggo going uphill.

If Europcar has not joined the pro-Tour ranks next year then there is no justice.

what do Vockler's and Rolland's contract look like? If Europcar loses them then they're looking at another season of rebuilding. Those points end up going over to the new teams. I would love to see Pinot, Vockler, Rolland and Chavanel team up to make a French superteam.

So I did an analysis of how much overlap we have and which riders are underperforming for their cost and which are doing best.

Some inital stats. We chose 45 out of 198 possible riders, so there is a lot of team overlap. the most popular teams to select riders from are over represented in the US/UK: In order with # of riders chosen by all DS: Garmin/Sharp (24), Sky (19) BMC (15), RadioShack Nissan Trek (13) Tie Europcar & Liquigas (10)

at this point, Cancellara is the best ROI at a cost of 8 units he's brought in 88points/unit, and Froome is close behind at 85.5 points/unit. this all can change with Froome proving so strong.

of the 15 teams in our league, 12 of us picked Ryder Hesjdal. too bad he dropped out, since he's only brought 11 points/unit (so we're all kind of biting it on that one).  The second most popular rider is Sagan ( our favorite Liquigas rider) at 2/3 of DS's chosing him, his 55.14 points/unit is 5th out of the 45 riders chosen.

Three rider have brought in a goose egg Vansummeren, Hoogerland, Danielson. (only two of these guys have dropped out).

@inrng: David Moncoutié still getting medical attention from race doctor, lost of a lot of skin along all the side, collarbone could be broken.

Looking at the lineups, I think Jim is gonna take the overall.  Cav probably wins on the Champs, and everything else is pretty equal.  Barring a spectacular result for me tomorrow, it looks like Ryan can move up and I might finish 4th.  3rd place loser!

Theoretically I expect Sky will finally have the go ahead to get the big line going for Cav to compete with Lotto-Bel on Sunday but Greipel has been looking pretty good.
