I'm signed up - is it still 5.15 for volunteers?
races start at 6am now, so I'm assuming 5am for volunteers.

jeebus, that's early.  signed up.

ergh...the price for being cheap a good Kissena citizen is costly these days.
Will someone PLEASE work KOM tomorrow? I don't wanna get up at 4 for the 4th time this week.

Thanks.
Aaron is signed up to do KOM tomorrow.
SUPERCROSS NEEDS VOLUNTEERS!
Can you do it? Are you Kissena enough?

See the Supercross thread for details.
Greetings Kissena Members:

(and thanks to Mike P whose note from last year I basically copied and pasted here),

This season, Charlie Issendorf, our road race director, will be promoting over 35 races. 13 of those races will be in two series at Prospect Park - The L&C Cup and the R&A Series.

These races require significant volunteer efforts to make them a success. As you know, we are a volunteer run club, and we need you to pitch in to make these races a success.

After reading the job descriptions, please sign up for a shift or three through this link:

(Please let me know if there are any technical difficulties accessing the spreadsheet.)

Registration Volunteer:

Arrive at Prospect Park by 5:15AM. Enjoy your coffee while checking USAC licenses and registering riders for the race. Once registration is closed, you can hop on your bike and race. If you do this job, you race for free.

Marshal Captain:

Arrive at Prospect Park by 6:00 AM. Get acquainted with the marshals and take note of their positions in the park. Once races start, ride slowly around the park, checking on the course marshals and making sure everyone has what they need. Serve as a communication link with Charlie I. Once the race is finished, let the marshals know they are done and return to the start finish. If you do this job, you race another race for free.

At this point Charlie is covered for KOM duties, but he will let us know if he needs help there.

See you all out there.

Jim
Jim, I can't update the sheet attached but sign me up for registration duties on April 5th.
Phil and all,

Try it now - I think I fixed it.
Yup. Thanks Jim
Bump so Jim's post isn't lost on page 2:

Hey there ladies and gents,

I volunteered to marshal captain for several races in May and June (would have done April, too, but prior commitments, etc...)

CAVEAT: Since I can't convert this into the promised free race - perhaps Charlie will let me offer it up to another KCC racer.  Otherwise, if someone was counting on marshal duty to help score a free race later in the season and wants one of the dates for which I'm signed up, I'm happy to relinquish the slot just let me know.  I'm sure I can find another way to help out.

Cheers,
Stearnsy
Bump.

We need a Marshall Captain for Saturday. Fun job and you get to race a future race for free.

See link above to sign up.
If a registration helper drops out for L&C April 27 - I can volunteer.
Otherwise - I'm signed up for an r&a in june. i'll know more later, too. cheer.
Joel, make sure you are looking at the 2014 sheet. There is no race on 4/27 and I don't see you signed up for anything in May.
right. wrong sheet -- I'll have a look at the right sheet. thanks for this, jim.

Dave,

Let me check my schedule. But I'll volunteer for Reg duty on some of those days.
@Mark - Right on.  Having an extra hand or two helps with registration because it gives everyone a chance to pin their own numbers on, take a bathroom break, warm up, etc.
hey everyone, apologies in advance but I won't be able to attend the L&C race this saturday, I was scheduled to volunteer to check people in --  sudden change of easter weekend plans with my family.  good luck out there.
Bump up.  Would be great to have one or two more people tomorrow to help out at reg table, even for a bit so others can pin numbers and use the bathroom, etc.
I can help out - see you guys in the AM.
I'm guess 5am reg opens since race is at 6? Ungh!
Can someone kindly remind me: does one race for free if one volunteers at the reg table at the R&A race? And if so, is it better to pre-reg or do that on the morning of? I'm guessing the latter, but not sure if anything has changed since last year.

Signed up to help at registration this weekend. Can someone who has raced before shed some light on Kayt's question? I'm wondering the same.
Email Charlie or talk to him at the Race.
Jesse - for L&C cup races you race for free if you volunteer at registration.

You need to pre-reg online.

Get there an hour before the race start.

All Kissena's get some money back and reg volunteers get all their money back. Either Charlie or one of his assistants will have the money envelopes.

I don't know how he works it with R&A races.
1,000 apologies for the late notice - but I'm not gonna be able to make it to the park to Marshall tomorrow morning. Have some contractors coming by the place early in the morning and I need to be here to speak with them. I'll be out there next weekend though.
Hey guys. Somehow managed to break a spoke riding over to Prospect Park. Turning around the head back and grab another set of wheels but I may not get to the parking time to help with registration.
@stearnsy can you marshal tomorrow morning for L&C?
I'll be there bright and early.
