Fun fact: the grassroots campaign to reduce car traffic related deaths, and make the streets more bike friendly, in the Netherlands in the 70s - the name of it translates to "stop killing our children". Had a way nicer ring to it than "vision zero"GregStreiff said:

What I like the best about this article is that unless you follow cycling the gender of the team is a complete non-story until the very end and then it's only in passing reference with a "She said"

Lucia on CX upgrades for Women.
https://www.tobedetermined.cc/journal/2017/9/who-cares-about-upgrades-anyway
TLDR: Many races now have 2 women fields: 1/2/3 and 3/4/5, not allowing for a realistic path for Cat 4s to upgrade. Charm City and the NECX Vittoria Series (of which Kissena's supercross is a part of) are doing it right, by offering separate Cat 4 and Cat 3 fields.

Did this come as a surprise to him ?
“It’s a squad with quite a rigid mentality, where they like to have even the most minor elements under control. I consider myself a different kind of rider to that. I prefer to follow my impulses, and at times we were not compatible."

Georgia Would is cyclocross, and cyclocross is everything you want cycling to be.
"To see everything from the perspective of someone who’s never seen anything is awesome."
"You have to earn it every time. It’s not like once you win a race you belong up there. No, you have to earn it every single race"

-- Had this quick moment with her in Baltimore, as I didn't recognize her in the Boo kit, but she looked so familiar, I assumed it was my friend Steph but in new glasses/helmet/race ready attitude, luckily I didn't say any names, and everything else was totally appropriate "New kit and bike, sweet! omg, that bicycle is so awesome, so cool to see you, have a great race." She probably just shrugged a moment later ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .

Evan Murphy is riding a Canyon aluminum cross this season, and you see a few others around. My guess is that for retail prices, they will have a real impact.
The NYC racing scene, where most get some discount -- which creates or forces a little brand loyalty -- might be much slower to adapt.
If Canyon prices are competitive with the discounts, or Canyon offers team/group discounts, then expect every one to adapt quickly or die.

I don’t know where this goes, but tonight NYC mayor and Councilman Koo are hosting a town hall meeting in Flushing.
Funding the rehabilitation of the kissena velodrome is on the agenda. consider attending and voice your support for the mayor to include Kissena Velodrome in his budget.
You have to RSVP in order to attend.
