Did you say Deadly Harvest?

I feel like Dan has been waiting a long time to link us to that.
@Dan --melodramatic book title duly acknowledged : )
Kim Cattrell before her star turns in Mannequin and Police Academy what's not to love about that movie?
^ fyi - you can see her breast/hear her make sexy noises in Porkies

...let the outrage begin.
Woah, this is what happens when you don't read all the threads.

i kind of wanna see that. Clint walker did a movie in the 60s called "grizzley" or something, big Clint fights a fucking grizzley bear. Hell yeah.
Just found Bill Strickland's blog... if it can be called that. Really fun to peruse.

This is so depressing. It makes me want to vote with my feet and move to another town. You have to be truly some kind of Hard to walk a beat in a neighborhood and not investigate a crime that leaves someone crippled or killed.
Hey man, go easy. The NYPD stopped and frisked over a half-million blacks and Latinos last year alone. You gotta give 'em that.
Some stats that prove they're doing some amazing work out there!

(Out of an abundance of caution, I am going to say here that I'm being sarcastic.)
At the risk of offending I honestly think that in the spectrum of malfeasance, unlawful stop & frisks don't rank as high as failure to investigate murder & maiming.

Not saying it's ok, just saying they're in different leagues of ugly.
off topic......

@ john malcomson - here's the crazy-assed raccoon story i was telling you about after computrainer sesh last night...

http://www.fuckedinparkslope.com/home/attack-of-the-raccoons.html

So -- is that picture for real, or photoshopped? my civilian eyes tell me that ish is real.....

This all came up in context of running into REALLY BIG FUCKING RACCOONS occasionally while late night riding in PP. I did pedal past one particularly big critter last summer late one night - thing must have been 3' tall on its hind legs, all hissing at me just before you get to the start/finish line. I pumped up the watts to get the hell past this rabid varmint...
Base training is for the indigent...

“He has never smoked and sometimes drinks alcohol but nothing to excess.”

What a dick.
@ Stearns... that is for real. Never thought about being attacked by a rabid Raccoon in PP... that would suck!
The last boogie night pp nighttime track race I ever did included a raccoon running all the way through the pack on the downhill.

Miraculously MIRACULOUSLY it threaded the needle and no one crashed but omfg that was terrifying

I pulled out that lap and never went back

I glanced at that and thought you'd written, "...and drinks alcohol to nothing but excess."

If that was the case, I'd appreciate his record much more.
I passed a skunk the other night on the west side bike path. It stopped and hissed at me. I didn't stop to chat.
Did you pull a Stearns and set a new 10second power record?

He crossed the Atlantic because it was there, and the Pacific because it was also there.

He doesn't always drink beer. But when he does, he drinks Doe Equis.
"He rowed daily on the Serpentine, the lake in Hyde Park. Barely more than half a mile long, it was about one eight-thousandth the width of the Atlantic, but it would do. "

Like training for the Tour by doing laps of PP.

Ha! Yes - if you hear me breathlessly panting RACCOON! RACCOON! in any PP races this spring, it'll just be me visualizing an imminent attack so I can try to take a pull in the K-train...
