Potential Health Effects
Eye: Dust may cause mechanical irritation.
Skin: Dust may cause mechanical irritation. Low hazard for usual industrial handling.
Ingestion: No hazard expected in normal industrial use. May cause irritation of the digestive tract.
Inhalation: No hazard expected in normal industrial use. May cause respiratory tract irritation.
Chronic: No information found.

Section 4 - First Aid Measures

Eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. If irritation develops, get medical aid.
Skin: Get medical aid if irritation develops or persists. Flush skin with plenty of soap and water.
Ingestion: If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water. Get medical aid.
Inhalation: Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. Get medical aid if cough or other symptoms appear.

Section 5 - Fire Fighting Measures

General Information:
As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH
(approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. Dusts at sufficient concentrations can form explosive
mixtures with air.
Extinguishing Media: Use water spray, dry chemical, or carbon dioxide.

Section 6 - Accidental Release Measures

General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section 8.
Spills/Leaks: Vacuum or sweep up material and place into a suitable disposal container. Avoid generating dusty conditions.

Section 7 - Handling and Storage

Handling: Wash thoroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Use with adequate ventilation. Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Avoid breathing dust.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances.

Section 8 - Exposure Controls, Personal Protection

Personal Protective Equipment
Eyes: Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles as described by OSHA's eye and face protection regulations in 29 CFR 1910.133 or European Standard EN166.
Skin: Protective garments not normally required.
Clothing: Protective garments not normally required.
Respirators: Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29 CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Use a NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator if exposure limits are exceeded or if irritation or other symptoms are experienced.
So I should use a NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator when mixing my morning coffee. Good to know going forward.

Watching InCycle I hear an American accent talking LeCourse by TDF, and I'm...

...constantly surprised by the number of professional women/teams I've never heard of. I guess that sort of makes the point that the pro women's peloton is trying to make when pushing for more and better coverage.

Wikipedia says she's from New York...

Anyone else know her?

^This post is worthless without pics...

;)

(I wonder where she lives now; the five second Google/wiki search didn't turn up anything definitive. Would be cool to see her tooling around CP!)
Gwynna,
When she's in the US, she calls Tucson home.

She might have grown up in Bronxville, but she didn't start riding around here.
Bertine has been around for a little while. She is pretty awesome.

She made a documentary called half the road. Which addresses pretty squarely some of the issues that @Marc mentions.

If you are interested in developing cycling and women cycling in particular, it is worth watching.

The movie is credited with helping get some motion on the Paris race.

On a side note, regarding women teams etc... the UCI youtube channel often posts Women World Cup races, which are totally awesome to watch:

cheers.
What a load of garbage:

http://velonews.competitor.com/2014/08/news/bike-weight-myth-fast-bikes_339880

"At the same time, the amount of power you are capable of generating should actually increase. This is because oxygen uptake is related to body mass and improves as fat is lost."
So crazy awesome bullshit.
Hulk agree.

I'm not a Tom Danielson fan by any stretch. Probably the opposite in fact, but I really respect his latest quotable moment from the Tour of Utah (on MSG channel oddly enough, for Time Warner customers)

“I’ve never won a stage like that before, especially with the pressure on [me],” Danielson said. “I came into this race and I just put my hand up. I didn’t want to be one of those guys that says, ‘Oh, whatever, I don’t know…’ I wanted to just deal with the full pressure and overcome it. So I put my hand up and then my teammates turned themselves inside out. Winning a stage like that after your teammates have worked so hard for you, there’s no better feeling in the world than that.”

PS: the "read more" line...didn't come from what I thought I copy and pasted...just showed up after I copied the quote from the VN article. #internetwizardry

Danielson and Horner are both super-dopers....when you come out the end of a decade + of doping...you think you are stronger or weaker for having trained at distances and speeds your body could never have handled clean?  Every result these two slobs get should have an asterisk denoting former doper with physiologically altered body.
Always remember the Gewiss moment Saturn gave us at Redlands....http://www.dailypeloton.com/displayarticle.asp?pk=3441

Kinda interesting:

Our own SuperCross mentioned briefly:

"Still, plenty more incorporate hundreds of roots, rocks, and ruts just begging to toss riders around or cause pinch flats, such as NBX in Warwick, RI or SuperCross’s new Stony Point location just outside New York City."

What's weird to me, is I don't understand how this story is NOT being reported as a loss of another pro cycling team. I don't know the numbers, but it sounds like 13+ riders and support staff are about to be out of a job.

What news are you reading?  Velonews' lead is the loss of a team after 10 years; due to the Italian economy blah blah...
Most of the 28 riders will find homes. Many have already signed elsewhere and the remaining 8 with more than a year on their contract will stay.  The support staff, which numbers 41, is another story.

While Velonews has this, http://velonews.competitor.com/2014/08/news/cannondale-slipstream-merger-a-reflection-of-italys-economic-woes_341987, the real story is how neither Cannondale nor Brixia Sport were able to land a co-sponsor when the team had one of the hottest names in cycling.  To me, Sagan is a one-man publicity-generating machine, much more so than Cav'.  The guy has been filmed riding on top of cars, up stairs, down stairs, power-sliding with top MTB riders.  He's in the mix wherever he races.  That the team couldn't capitalize on this, in Italy or anywhere in Europe is a much worse sign for the viability of pro cycling than it is for Italy's economic woes.

"power-sliding with top MTB riders."

Sounds to me that Red Bull should get in the Pro Road Racing game. I mean, they could just lift up the couch cushions from their F1 sponsorship and have enough "spare change" for 2 teams.
Wow. http://velonews.competitor.com/2014/08/news/lampre-pulls-horner-out-of-vuelta-for-conflict-with-mpcc_342072
Damn! Was looking forward to seeing him ride every one off the steep bits.
God we're a smart lot.

I love Ryder Hesjedal spirit , but is it me , does he just keep making stupid mistakes
All things considered, Condator speaks better of his competition than anyone else at his level.
Doper or not, he's good in front of a microphone.
