It wasn't hard, but that's because I'm using NP. Average Power was quite lower. NP basically inflates when you have hard efforts.

Exactly...so when you are racing a team race, I take it as a good sign that our protected riders might have a lower NP because they don't have to respond to so many attacks and can focus on quality and not quantity of their "hard efforts."

It's also worth pointing out this funny exchange we had, I think, as a reminder that we all can have very different physiological and stress experiences in the same race.
The ratio of NP to AvgP can be helpful too.  Training Peaks calls this the "Variability Index" or VI.

Mine from yesterday:

NP 265
AvgP 225
VI (265/225) 1.18

Hurry! This race is filling up quickly.
Double bump. 98 entries - field capped at 110. Where is the rest of the Geritol gang? JP, Marc, Jim, Dan, etc...

Also, where are our Kissena women? Only Lindsey has registered so far in the women's field.

Keeping my powder fresh for Sunday's pro crit. Looks like the T-town crew has signed up after all. I'll be doing miles on Saturday.

Craig,
Thinking of the Berkshire race this Saturday.  Though I obviously need to make up my mind soon.

I'm still out of commission. Rode to work today. Most miles in two weeks.
I'm out of town. Should be at the next one.
Balls. Craig, Yaks & I are gonna have to double dose the geritol ... #glowtime
^if Brian Doherty shows up with Steve Guttenberg DON'T GET ON THE BOAT!
JP - if you do the Berkshire thing let me know. I know the roads well. You'll ride by a house I rented a few years ago around mile 18 and by a house my parents owned many years ago around mile 66. During ski season I'm on those roads all the time.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format not-found
I got shut out.. :-(
Me too...
Heads up - looks very likely this race will feature an ALTERNATE START/FINISH LINE based on the construction currently underway.

Will post updates here, and I'm sure Charlie will email the living heck out of registrants.
Volunteer opportunities?
Start/Finish with be at 3rd street entrance.

Should be really fun. Last trip up the hill is gonna be burly.
That is going to be awesome.
I'm signed up to marshall captain at the R&A race this weekend.

To follow-up on Jules' comments - Charlie was getting very concerned about the dangers created by the pinch point near the ice rink construction.   Having stood there for 3 races this season already I can tell you - it does seem like a disaster waiting to happen.  Even despite flag waving, there have been a couple of very close calls with guys just missing plowing into the pedestrian lane, especially on hot laps and last lap, as the speed ramps up going into the finish.

So, pure sprinters weep, climbers and roleurs rejoice, and....commence the strategy discussion on how to set up the lead-out on this one......

Ride safe - see you on Saturday morning....
Thanks David! I will need you in the same spot again!

Whoa....can we still register at the old spot...then proceed to the start finish?  This is going to be dastardly....
Check your Facebook page Chris, Charlie gave us instructions about where to register.
No. Start/finish/reg are all in new spot
Sweet Moses....this is gonna shake things up.  The probability of a break going just went through the roof.  Nobody knows how that finale is going to shake out...might us will avoid a cluster shag by getting into the break.  Going up the hill on the last lap is going to be dicey.  A different start/finish makes me happy...

Actually I don't think this helps a break; unless you mean a last-lap cuisinart-shredding over the top...!
Is that where the sprint competition goes down?  I am currently in 4th place...with ONE HOT POINT !....what I'm not ?!

I stick to my conjecture...

Ahhh, bummer. If I had known there was going to be an uphill finish...

Can't wait to read the reports!
well it is 1/2 mile from the hill...still...there is going to be an awful lot of guys who don't get close to seeing this finish...The climb is going to become the land of no hope and broken dreams...
