[just trying it out/Spoiler]

**blush**

...for all you "pics or it didn't happen" haters.
Cav's....avoids crash, gets perfect lead out, starts his sprint first....and gets OWNED !!!.  At least he didn't hook somebody after he crossed the line.

Phil Liggett..."nobody catches this man when he's out in front !"  ummm...era...errr......Maybe Paul should start calling the finale's.

does peter sagan beard-dope?  beginning of the tour, he had no facial hair.  now this:http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/photos/sagan-ready-to-celebrate-in-style-chasing-points-at-the-tour-de-france/271183

some will be shorn off by the winds he encounters during the sprints.  but that doesn't change the fact that he may very well be using progaine.

i dunno....some guys grow beards pretty fast.  in that pic, sagan's beard looks like the kind of scraggly growth i would have sprouted in junior high school.  by comparison, if i shave at 8 a.m. now, here's what i look like by the end of the day.

i'm still suspicious.  he's so far ahead in the hirsute jersey points competition

The sprint was textbook...Cav's won that sprint a million times...I was surprised zat zee German was able to come around him.
I don't think Sagan is beard doping with anything. he had that unconnected chin scrub and mustache that is isn't quite a goatee, it is the faux-tee.
It just makes him look like more of a tool
maybe Cav is off the juice, too
Nobody stays on top forever...maybe the rude little bar hookers days are numbered...
Yacks- what's up with all the venom?

Bike racing guy lost a bike race.  Doesn't make him the offspring of Lucifer and Hellraiser.
It does b/c he's fucking up my fantasy team.
Well...that's quite a bridge.  Adam I've said this 1 million times....don't exaggerate.
adam it's a sprinter thing.  they're facing off like battling peacocks.
Rigby,
The scruff provides a boundary layer similar to the dimples on golf balls and Zipp wheels (hmmn, maybe Zipp's sponsorship includes engineers determining the proper amount of facial hair for maximum speed).

All,
Cav' just forgot to bring the afterburners to the finish line today.
I used to believe the ONLY way to beat Cav's was to go early...but if your name is Kittel the way to beat Cav's is ANY way you want !!!!
Ha, the only thing as predictable as Yacks throwing down judgements on carbon fiber and Lance is the Kissena British contingent getting uncharacteristically uptight over criticisms of their countrymen!
Gadzooks !!!!  They are already penning the O-bit

Even the cycling juggernaut that is ABC news is on the story....what cads !

I feel like this an incredibly important point that sort of buried in the article, and the overall discussion:

"He may also be tired from a tough Giro which, to his credit, he remained in right until the end, taking five stages plus the points jersey."

If Kittel gets Cav's again tomorrow...the tour de Suisse crash is going to seem like a good day....FYI grumpy smurf came off his line and hooked Haussler....frames 25-33...he was looking for contact & he found it.

Cav is being every bit the sportsman about losing.  Except for the part where he knocked the guy down at 65 kph.  But other than that, very gentlemanly.
@Ryan

I think us Brits are getting a bit miffed because the current tour stage tally is arse-about-face. It should be:

Looks substantially worse from above...
Perhaps the road was going left you ask ?  "The road is going left, make it a straight sprint (if you don't want any incidents). "  Well this road was straight as an arrow...watch from 28 on....

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWO! Great stage!
this stage is AMAZING so far.  i love seeing the late, well-planned attack on those wide open, windy flats.  how many of y'all are having cold sweats imagining a 173 km FBF race?
Check it: Yellow at 43 sec to Contador lead group, Valverde 5 mins+!!!!!

This is a great stage
