Is not crashing part of what you get when you buy yourself onto Foundation?

Wonderful racing guys --congrats Jeff and Konrad and the excellent and exciting support cast of racers. Lovely stuff!

I loved this race last year and am planning on doing it again this year. 

Alright, I'm in! @Gwynna, any chance you'd be able to Sunday as well? $100 is steep for a TT and crit (and the TT is pretty steep already!) The RR was pretty fun last year, and even though it was my first open road race and first race over 25mi, I managed to sit in until the sprint. Lots of strategy to observe and adjustments to be made lap after lap of a 5.5mi course. 

I'm thinking about doing this as well but still not 100% in yet.

I'll be renting a car/SUV for this one (as Emily, Kayt and I decided at Syracuse, a hatchback is fantastic trainer/warm-up shelter) and will be driving back and forth from BK each day. More details as the race approaches, but I'm happy to go in with others. The w1/2/3 field is first for all events, so whoever goes w/ me can be assured they won't be late.

@Paige, I had so much fun last year. And that was before Kissena. I looked like a total Fred in mixed CRCA club kit and tri gear, got dropped from the crit in the 2nd lap (but took my money's worth of miles anyway), didn't eat or drink enough between events, was too nervous and shy to talk to any other women... and despite all that, absolutely loved it!

Ladies, there is really nothing more fun on two wheels than a stage race with teammates.

If at all possible you should do it!

I'm totally doing this. Who else is going? Carpooling there would be cool even though it's pretty close to the city. 

Bump. Is anyone doing this? Not sure if I should plan to stay over Sat night or not? The races start early and it's about 1.5 hrs from the city in the middle of nowhere. Thoughts?

I plan to do it. Won't be staying over night though. I've done it twice in the past, and commuting seemed to work fine.

Ditto Whitey. Also planning to do it, not staying overnight, and commuting last year was fine. (I even went out there one morning before work the week prior to pre-ride the TT — it's close.)

We had a great race here a few years ago. It's a pretty easy commute from the city. I tried to arrange a cabin but couldn't get my shit together. 

I was standing at the finish line for both of WDC's shameful failures. I savor the memories.

I'm in for this, up for making it a weekend out of the city if anyone wants to split accommodation.

when i raced this in 2012 all equipment was permitted, so some people rode full TT rigs.

If anyone is going up and wants to split a car/gas/lodging for just Sat night please let me and Konrad know. We are interested in either driving up both days early- Races start at 8:30 am in some cases- and/or possibly staying the night and splitting hotel costs. 

The cabins looked good at the site- but small and had a 2 night minimum.
All the other hotels/motels were 15 miles away. We'll prob end up staying
there but must factor the time into our commutes to the race courses for
the mornings as the races start quite early 8:30am in some cases. Also we
have to leave Sat AM very early to make our TT start times.

I will register on Monday once I get through Harlem and see if my body
still has 75% of the skin on it. TT start times are issued by the promoter
via email once you're registered.

I'm in for the 4/5 race.  Heading up there with non-racer friends and family for the weekend so unfortunately no spots in my car.

I'm out for this -- I have a work retreat Friday into Saturday, and while I would love to skip it to race bikes, it's also a weekend on the North Fork. Good luck, peeps. 

Dang, there are five money spots per stage and GC payout goes all the way through top 10.

Cat 4/5 racers, let's figure out how we're going to win this thing.

Ladies, as of now, there are under 20 pre-registered racers in the Women's Cat 4 field.  The odds are in your favor, go for it!

Looks like you can register for individual races now. I think I'm just going to do the RR. Haven't decided Cat 3 or Masters. Anyone else doing either of these fields?
