CLARIFIED!

There are separate races for the RR only people and the full stage race people.  I don't think they did that 3 years ago.  Probably not as many people signed up then.

So anyway, I'm out for Sunday as well, as I won't be able to help Operation Upgrade.  I'll just keep it local and cheap at the park.

Have fun, duders!
I think I'm out for Saturday for two reasons.  One of the promoters got back to me and didn't know how a 75 rider limit field would work if they added up all the people reg'd for the whole thing PLUS the people you just reg'd for the RR or crit.  It puts them way over 75!

Plus, $35 + expenses for a 15 mile crit sounds crazy.  I didn't realize it was so short.

Hopefully I can do Sunday, otherwise  it's L&C here I come!
Nevermind. Owens clarified while I was writing my post. That's unexpected, but works I guess.

anyone get their start times yet?

When I see these videos set to this kind of music I always feel like it represents well the general vibe of the local peloton...overly aggressive, self-aggrandized, and not really all that good.
^100% true^

FYI, in case you were wondering what Ryan listens too on his headphones while he warms up for a TT, here's the video version:

Wow, up for over a year and only 142 views?  Odd...

Ryan that has so much "truth" that I need a whole special TRUDAT button.

It is no mystery why CX is so popular... It's the anti road race.

Is it bad that I kind of dig that song?
Who was racing in a Kissena Classico Kit??!!  a fellow luddite. cheers m8!
Konrad and Aly got 3rd and 4th in the UPHILL time trial.
Ryan got 9th in the 3's (3 sec off of 4th).

Nice work, gents!
Konrad just took a preme. That should shoot him up the overall points. The 4 squad is working very smoothly together.
Come on "live updates Johnson". Moar!
DAMN BOYZ!
Cat 4 crit results: Condon 2nd overall, 1st for GC because 1st place finisher isn't in GC! Not sure about Konrad or current GC standings - had to hit the road back BK.
Wow!  Operation Upgrade a success!
hot dog!
bbaaaah yes congrats to Condon for the crit! I told Konrad to get on my wheel and was gonna give him a killer leadout cause i felt good and we were front 10 of the field but many people including myself thought the penultimate lap was the actual final one: it said '2 laps remaining' the last time we had gone by but the bell had rung, I later told the USCF official that there were many bells on the course and that this was not fair, all I got from him was 'yea, we apologize'... I wish that leadout could've materialized, I just didn't understand why people were getting really snappy at the end, I had the legs but decided not to follow suit cause I thought we still had a lap left- oh well!
Luckily Konrad picked up some points for GC at a preme during during the race coming first or second and the fellow from rockstar who was first on the time trial came in third (I tried to take away his points and almost succeeded but kid is strong!) also he flatted during the crit so dunno where that puts him for GC.
Kick some ass tomorrow! you got this.

Almost a panic with results - Condon was not listed! Second was just left blank. I heard an announcement about having 8 minutes left to challenge/identify riders and hobbled over to the table. Close call, and once again congrats on getting that upgrade! Can't wait to race again tomorrow.

Any idea where GC info gets posted or are we going to have to wait until tomorrow to see?

great work gentlemen! Amazing. it must be something about this course, last year William won the bell lap.

Fuuuuuuck. Good call! @konrad Was everything else pretty accurate? This is a great race, but the organizers don't really seem to have it together.

Uh, I had to go do a bike race! But it was great watching the 4s ride as a unit from my spot in the shade on the trainer.
Our crit was very hard. I think I got some omnium points out of one of the premes but it wasn't clear to me if it was a cash preme or a points preme. I hope it was points because would think that might move me up the GC a bit but we'll see.

Mid pack at start of last lap, planned to move up and look for a place to attack but we were all behind a crash which split the field. I leap frogged back to the lead group of 25 or so but didn't have the legs to get to the front of that.

Adam raced well and Stokes is just the man. 25 years older than half the field and he just sits in there cool as an ice cube. Amazing.

Fun times traveling and socializing.
It's that same old officiating crew that do a lot of the NJ races. Complete with the lady who always prefaces the race instructions with, "I don't like paperwork ..."

@ Ryan

The correct phrase is "cool as a cucumber" or "cold as ice". You can't have it both ways. In my opinion, Stokes is "cool as a cucumber."

Yeah you like cucumbers
@komrad thanks so much for the save. I had a feeling something like that was going to happen. They gave me my prize and said since there was a gap there wouldnt be any dispute. They were taking so long to post results. These guys were very disorganized last year and apparently continue to be.

The GC should be listed here tonight

I'm sure there will be some mistakes in calculating. I talked to the winner of the 4/5 race who told me he wasn't in the GC competition. According to the race handbook the next GC rider gets his points. So hopefully that'll pan out.

Great day racing with everyone today. I think if thing are calculated accurately Konrad and I should be pretty high up in the GC. Lets crush it tomorrow.
Almost forgot: Profile for tomorrow's road race. Start/Finish are about correct, I believe.

GC standings. http://www.skylandscycling.com/cielo13/gc2after.html They haven't listed the actual points here but it looks like I'm in 2nd and Konrad in 3rd going into the RR.

Area man selfies "off-topic", posts comment anyway
