I was just thinking about this. I'd love to go.

I did this 3 years ago with Donovan.  It was a super fun little race.  Well run and not too far. Do it!
Why don't you do it?
B/c I'm fat.  Can't pull.
I'm going.
Ok fine maybe I'll do it...

Newsflash, spanky: you're not all that fat, and you're getting fast again. Time to come get your ass kicked like the rest of us!
Let's start talking logistics. Their web page is an abomination, I'll need to set aside an hour or so to figure out whether 3s and 4s can travel together.
This race would be great -- last as a 5, and since it's a 4/5 field, first as a 4.
If it's not gonna be super 'spensive I'll give it a go.  But yeah, that all depends on the transportation.
I'm in. Haven't reg'd yet, but I'm in.
Anyone driving? Do we need a car?
Here's who I think is going - right?

Me
Konrad
Adam F
Clifford
Owens
Jeff W
Adam N

Let's figure out how we are getting everyone there. First question - anyone driving?

I don't think we need lodging, right, we'll just do the drive both days?

I'm on the fence. I like the idea of racing in Stokes state forest.
Yeah drive both days.  The ride back Sunday was long due to traffic, but it's not that far.  Just gotta leave early.  But we also had late-ish drives back both days b/c we had to wait to pick up our WINNINGS!

Happy to get involved but my lodging will throw a bit of a spanner in the works.  As I live in Long Island it's a pain in the butt to get there and back, there and back, for the racing.  So...if I go, I need to either stay there or bunk on someones sofa in NYC.

Ok, any takers for a cutie brit for a sleepover?

If there happens to be transport available there and a return offer for the way back on the second day, I can find a BandB or whatever and stay, that's not a big deal.

Gonna need a little help with this one peeps.
I did this last year and was planning to do it again. Though now I may only be able to do the road race on Sunday. I'm also contemplating trying to upgrade before to do the longer Cat3 RR. I think I have the points.
Jeff - upgrade! We could really use you. We don't have many 3 and up who race out of town much.
Guys: is anyone driving? And, who has put dibs on seats, and who wants to look at splitting a rental?
I will go but need transportation. Will do cat 3 for the sake of compatibility.
Having put a bit more thought into the events, I'm thinking I might skip the stage race and just do the Sunday RR.  Looking at logistics now.
I could drive Sunday and take two more. Saturday I won't be able to drive, though.
If I rented a van for both days who would want to commit to a spot/split costs?
@ryan ... I'd be up for that.
I'm interested, but it'd depend on the cost.
I'm thinking about just Sunday too. Again, depends on the cost. I spent my GEICO $ on the Quarq!
We can get a van for the weekend for 299+ tax. I think we can take five in a van.
I'll go in the van.
Okay, if I don't hear from more people by tomorrow morning, I'm going to proceed with a car for me, Stokes, and likely Adam, since we're all racing together.

If we can get it to 5 I'm cool with the van.

That's 5 people racing BOTH days. Or being cool with paying 1/5 of the cost of the van, anyway.
I'm definitely in for the Sunday road race and will be driving. However I still haven't figured out which race I'm doing (or if I even have the option) or if I'm racing Saturday (which is less likely).

I'll let everyone know once I figure it out so we can coordinate rides.
I'm out for the van both days.  $65-ish + gas/tolls and race fees too steep.  Plus I want Mark's Linus!

If I can score a ride and just chip in for gas/tolls/bribe and buying someone food both ways (and give you my winnings), I'm down for Sunday.
Ok Ryan-I'm down.  I'll go, both days it is.
