Work is going to keep me later than expected. I'll be there a a bit after 7, closer to 7:30-7:45. Will the door be open? (Don't want to buzz or interrupt anything.)
Reached out to Redbeard bikes, our new shop sponsor, and they'd love to host us for this. on the negative, few chairs. On the positive, ample bike parking.
So, onto dates. Time would be 7pm. Can do it Tuesday 12/9, Monday 12/15, Tuesday 12/16, Thursday 12/18.
If you're new to bike racing or have questions about what to do for training in the winter, or how to set up your own training program, you owe it to yourself to come out for this.
Here's what I've written in the past
It is as it suggests. A talk focused on basic training concepts.
Traditionally, the talk is set up around the start of December. This is for many reasons, but the biggie is that it is around December that many start either planning their next season or start to train for it in some way or another. It's geared for people who are newer to structured training with the goal of racing bicycles, but everyone is welcome.
We've been doing this for many years. Comes with a handout. And there will be a quiz. On the road. In several months time."
If I could insert a poll here, I would. After a few responses, I'll set up a Doodle poll.
I've been to JP's talks in the past (pre-baby life mostly), and they are rock solid. You should go. It's one of the tangible benefits of membership. Take advantage.
Folks, this is why you joined a club, to get invaluable insight from experienced racers like JP. Even if you've been to one of these talks before, I've found that you can still learn new things. This is also a great way to socialize and get to better know your club-mates and race buddies!
I'd love to join. However my schedule isn't consistent which means I can't commit to shy particular date. i'll have to play it by ear with which ever date works for the group. If that's ok?
