Yes sir, "B" is the category based on a max 3.9w/kg FTP.
TTT for tomorrow so far (updated):

1. Dave
2. Diego
3. James
4. Rich
5. Robert

@Nathaniel Picard Busky and @RobertMullen how's it looking for you both?

Sorry forgot to reg, I am in.
We have one more spot open, it's not too late to join!

Call-in for tonight below. @DiegoSanchez it is crucial you dial in since constant communication during the TTT is crucial.

Notes:
- *STOP PEDALING 10 SECONDS BEFORE THE RACE OFFICIALLY STARTS*
- Kissena's start delay is 2.5 minutes
- I will give everyone a count down over the call-in
- When I say "GO" we start pedaling around 400watts until we get into a group. ***This is crucial that we try to gel as quickly and efficiently as possible***
- Approx 1 min pulls
- Time is stopped when rider #4 crosses the line
- The "birdseye" view is best to see how well we're sticking together.

Let's have some fun!

Non-racing teammates welcome to join in on the meeting and watch along on Zwift/Zwift app!
I’m trying to meet. At what time are you all joining?
I'll be on in a minute
Prob needs Dave to open the call I’m on too
It’s open
That was super fun. I couldn’t talk much since my kid was waking up every time I spoke.

Definitely joining more often for season two.

David, you’re amazing. That was a really tough effort you put leading the pack for so long time.
Super extra fun today. After so many weeks of racing virtually together we were smooth, fast and n'sync - complete with bleach blonde tips and choreographed dance moves. Diego slotted right into our usual rotation of James, Rich, Rob, and myself and provided extra firepower to give us our best TTT ever.

What a treat to turn what would ordinarily be lonely winter months on the trainer into a fun race series with teammates. Thanks for the company and looking forward to racing virtually and IRL with you all soon.
Agreed with all of the above! Super hard as always but like everyone said, we were real smooth.

I really encourage everyone to hop in for these virtual meet ups if you're hankering for some bike- cromradere in these dark times (winter, covid, etc). It's not the same obv but it's def the next best thing. I was thinking the other day that I don't think Dave and I have ever actually ridden together in person, which felt weird considering we've "ridden" together twice a week almost every week these past few months!
When the next season kicks off I do highly recommend getting involved, although not the same as racing in real life it certainly helps. Plus the chat on the meeting/discord is good fun.
Hello Team! Tomorrow. Mar 5th 7:00am. Zwift Virtual Look Sharp.

Let me know if you wanna join, you'll need to be following me, and I'll invite you.

Already invited the usual suspects, got some confirms, thanks!!

Planning on 40ish KM, you can go longer or shorter. Pace will be mega chill piano suave relax while we discuss Strade Bianchi favorites, and also wutup with Wout warmer over socks, no no.

Please wear the bumble bee (basic 1) jersey, and an orange cap.

Hope to see you there, virtually.

I purchased a Tacx Neo 2T sometime last year, right around when zwift racing was really heating up. The unit began to over head an emit a burning rubber smell after a few months. Sent it back to Tacx, got a band new one. It worked great for a few months and then I suddenly noticed that I was leaning to the right every time I put weight on the bike. The Neo has the ability to rock a few degrees back and forth, which is great usually. But after a while, I could really notice the lean and even confirmed it with a level. This is also when it started reading cadence super sporadically.

Garmin offered to replace it but I really don’t want another unit that will blow up on me in a few months. So I took a long shot and contacted Zwift, whom I originally ordered it from. To my surprise, they were willing to take it back, ship me a Wahoo Kickr AND a $200 credit. I was shocked! I expected them to say they would give me a discount on a new unit or something because I was well out of the 30 day return window and the warranty is through Tacx, not Zwift. I don’t have the Kickr in hand yet, but if this ends up playing out I’ll be super impressed by Zwifts customer service.

That is crazy. I hope Charlie makes some money.
WTRL Zwift Racing Season 3 is starting in a few weeks on April 6th and KCC is officially registered again for Americas E, Division B.

Sadly it looks like they moved the time up for our division to 7:15p which is pretty tough for me to make on a normal week.

We are pleased to confirm that Kissena Cycling Club has successfully been registered for Season 3 of Zwift Racing Leagues in partnership with WTRL which will start on the 6th April 2021. Your TRC number is: 4096. Please keep this safe.

Regulators / Race Management:
Zwift Racing League PREMIER DIVISION - ZWIFT - eSports
Zwift Racing League COMMUNITY DIVISIONS - WTRL

Season 3 has seen a lot of beefing up to the back end support of the Zwift Racing League. Additional staff and significant improvements (and changes) to race data / results, website and so on. The racing formats, points systems and league structures remain largely unchanged, though adaptable to allow for over 300 new teams.

The course list was published on 16th March and should have something to suit the majority that will promote some very competitive racing across various riding styles.
  1. SQUADS / ROSTERS have a new maximum 12 rider limit.
  2. Teams MISSING races will forfeit league points.
  3. TEAM KIT and INGAME tags.
  4. RACE PASS refinements
  5. VERIFICATION changes. A1 Division Teams to be verified at random by ZADA involving both dual recording, height and weight. All verification is completed out of the public eye. No verification will ever be posted online for the general racing community to scrutinize.
  6. CONTACTING WTRL.
  7. MILLISECOND accurate Team Time Trial start delay adherence monitoring.
  8. CATEGORY refinements based around power.

    !!!!?!?!?!?!????!?!!?!?!!??????

I looked for details on this, but didn't see anything. If anything they may be doing this for premier teams - I can't imagine they're allowing for every cat 3/4 squad to have their own custom kit... but who knows, they're valued at a BEEEELLLLEEEEOONNNN dollars so who knows.

April’s Fools today.
Will be a little while, but watch this space for some cool things coming up... or ask me on a ride ;)
UPDATE: Site is back up and I guess they need teams to register all their members again.

If you're thinking of racing, even once, for this series, please DM or slack me your Zwift ID so I can add you to the team.

As a reminder you can find it by looking at the URL path when you try to download a .fit Activity file from your Zwift account (annoying but straightforward):

Re: WTRL Zwift Racing League - As it stands now as of 7:09pm, I haven't received a link yet to register for tomorrow's race and the section for ZRL on WTRL's site is down...

https://www.wtrl.racing/zwift-racing-league/

...so that's that.

I'll update here once I get an email confirmation. Is anyone still available to race this thing at 7:15pm tomorrow night? Considering I'm just wrapping up my work day, I'm a very big maybe, but as always will do my very best to join if it means having a 4 rider squad to make our points count.

TTT is usually the most collaborative/team oriented for these races and a ton of fun. 3.5-4w/kg FTP and you'll groove right in with the rest of us who have been racing this for the last several months. \\

DM, Slack, or just respond to this thread if you need help getting started.
Also hoping this Race Pass link works! - It does! If you're logged into WTRL and Zwift - This will take you to reg page for Race #1

It's on! - Reminder of the basics:
  • Team Time Trial (course details here https://zwiftinsider.com/route/douce-france/ )
  • Click link below to register for the race on Zwift (you'll pass through WTRL)
  • Races starts, 7:18p EDT
  • Highly recommend you try to warm up 10-20mins prior and head to the race pen with at least 5 mins to spare
  • Kissena has a start delay of 9 minutes (not great for staying warmed up)
  • I'll post a google meets call-in before the race - Please join as this is crucial to coordinate our start.

RACE 1 INFORMATION
Welcome to Season 3 of the Zwift Racing League. We are kicking the season off in France with the ever popular Team Time Trial format, devised almost 2 years ago by WTRL, over the mostly flat Douce France course. If your team is new to the Team Time Trial format please familiarize yourself with the event specific rules and start delay process covered in the Rules & Regulations.

As captain of Kissena Cycling Club please ensure you distribute ONLY the RACEPASS link below to the racers in your team. These are also accessible from the Team Management page which is visible to all riders who have accepted invitations to join this team.

Your team should be at least 4 and no more than 6 riders for Community Divisions.
  • Racers must sign in to the designated pen in the specified event. Failure to do so will result in no result or team points.
  • Team Cars/Directeur Sportif and camera cars should sign in to the E pen

Added, you should get an invite confirmation via email. Otherwise, just click on the link to register for the race and think we'll be all set.
Do we have full team confirmation? If not, I may sneak outdoors because it’s beautiful out

edit: UGH I’m sorry it’s too nice out for me to race tonight. Been staring at bad screen all day and I think I need some sun.
raced earlier today. was not as much fun.
@RobertMullen and all, 10000% do not feel beholden to Zwift racing - this is just for fun! Riding outside, family time, your job, etc. are way more important.

With that said we have 4 signups (including myself), but all of us are pretty non-committal at this point. The earlier 7:15pm start time is really tough.
Sorry friends, I'm still working and then have Life to tend to. Please feel free to race for the hell of it.
Cross-posted on the slack, but if anyone’s in for the TTT in a few minutes the deal is we hop into the start corral and when the gun goes off, we don’t pedal, wait for the clock to hit 9 minutes and then get to it.
