Team Kit Order

@ Thierry, aw SHUCKS

sorry, can't spell right now
double trouble dimpled diaper up the dumper

I've been seeing a lot of tattoos lately with poems wrapping around the arm in delicate cursive, and I've been wondering what, if I commissioned such a tat, I would have permanently affixed to my skin.

Now I know.  Thanks Marc.

No worries Tito, you know, I'm always here to help.
The new kit was unanimously praised at Tour of Catskills this weekend.  Many times riders came up through the pack just to say how much they liked it.  In addition to the other teams liking it, my kids could not get enough of the Tech Cap.  I will be ordering a handfull of them on the next go round (they are way better fitting than the cotton ones IMHO).  Good work on the design and making it all happen.

Hey question for you cap wearers...I've got a big melon, which cap would fit me better?
Marc the consensus seems to be

Big Melon: Cloth
Picard-Shaped Melon: Tech
The question isn't size, it's style or usage. I have both, they fit the same. If you like the classic look - Claude Criquielion style - get the regular cloth cap and keep it level. If you're getting it for under the helmet use, go tech.
just don't be this guy
So, like in that pic, my cap stripes are printed crooked and off center.  And possibility they could fix that in the future?

I also noticed some areas on my bibs where the stitching wasn't even complete.  Can we send these back with the skin suits for replacements?  I have worn them exactly once.
@ Jeff: we'll push them to do a better job on the caps.

If you have real quality issues with anything (like incomplete stitching) snap a photo and send it to me offline.  We should be able to get them replaced, although not with the same skinsuit order (that has already been submitted)

Great thanks!

Exactly.

At first I thought, WAY overkill on the diaper-like dimple pads. Sure day one of Catskills was 3 hours in 90plus degree heat . . .and the pad hurt in the end.... but I am not sure any pad can protect against that kind of salt chafing.  But(t), with a generous helping of Aquaphor (thank you Chris Carmichael) my ass survived yesterday's 3 hours comfortably despite the 2 hour deluge.  That said, I am reserving judgement at this point, but was indeed intimidated at first by the look and "crinkle" of the unworn product.

If you want true comfort over days and days of riding, Bergamo Chamois can not be beat.

Rumour has it that Captain Picard just moved to Park Slope.

The orange dimpled chamois needs some break-in time, but it lasts through a lot more washes than the old gray one. Can't speak for the new red one. The crinkle does go away btw.
I have a blue chamois in the sausage suit—so far so good.
Thank baby Jesus that the "Satan's-saddle-sore Grey" chamois is no more.
Baby Jesus forgives your taint.

...the taint on your immortal soul, that is.

@ Aaron: The store is not open yet.

Guys, if you haven't picked up your kit yet, you know who you are - there are a dozen sets of kit still at Ride.

Help us keep Ride Brooklyn happy about being our drop off joint and pick 'em up post haste.

Thanks.
Thanks for the info, ive been out of town for the last few weeks will try and get down there soon.
For the new order, is there a way to get kids clothes? I was thinking of getting a jersey or jacket for Eli and I suspect there are a few other kids that want to rock the new kit too.
@ Craig, yes that is one of the things I want to add before we re-open the store
Dog sweaters?
Dog sweaters?

Like Leroy needs clothes to get the ladies.

The Champ-Sys doodad came off the end of my jersey zipper - had to put a safety pin on the end, now I'm taking it back to my hardcore punk roots.

Yes!
I've found that the little "C" gets hooked on the holes of laundromat dryers and breaks off.

Dryers?! You put your jersey in the dryer? Serves you right.
Energy hog.
i wrap my zipper pulls in the fur of baby seals, when they're in the dryer. It protects the zipper pulls, but ruins the baby seal fur.

Is that wrong of me?
