Team Kit Order

Ragot: still drunk on euro time.

No one else watching the whole 6 hours of the road race yet?!?!

Oh, and super deluxe quintuple thanks to Jules for all his hard work on the kit and sort.  And Ros and Jeff and Lisa and everyone else who chipped in.  His house was completely taken over by this project.  Make sure to give him a big fat kiss, er, booze or something.

Just tried on new kit....

SO. FUCKING. DOPE.

And the airlite jersey is indeed supple.

Conversely, is there some sort of mandate that says the majority of olympic national kits have to be utterly lame and horrid?

Hey Jules, where and when can I pick up the kit? Been out of the loop for two weeks, so I must of missed the message. Let me know.

Details:
  • Anything that isn't picked up by about 7:50 is going to get ferried over to RB
  • Each kit is in a bag with a copy of the original order stapled to the bag
    • Each bag has been checked & initialed twice (Thanks Ross & Whitey)
    • CHECK THE CONTENTS OF YOUR BAG vs THE ORDER
    • Initial the order and leave it with us
    • If you pick up from RB leave the (initialed) order with them
  • Our place isn't big enough to host a party of 80 so move along folks nothing to see here in a polite sort of way :)  Mission Dolores is just around the corner and a great place to have a post kit-pickup celebratory drink.  Hopefully I'll be able to join after 9pm if anyone is still there.

@eric stein
Eric, Scroll up for the details
OK FOLKS:

Kit will be dropped off at Ride Brooklyn sometime tomorrow morning.  Here is the drill:
  • check the contents of your bag against the invoice stapled to it
  • SIGN OR INITIAL the Invoice
  • LEAVE THE INVOCE WITH RIDE BROOKLYN!
  • If anything is wrong/missing with the package, please leave it as-is at RB with a note and email me
If you are racing please make EVERY EFFORT to rock the new "KCC50" Kit

While you are causing whiplash left & right because you kit looks so damn fine, remember to be a good citizen; you are representing 50 years of racing and racers.

If you see Ross or Graydon out there, be sure to give the a fist bump for all the hard work.

going right now to pick mine!!! Dope!!
Can we have a USAC official weigh in on whether or not we're stretching/breaking racing rules by potentially having two different jerseys in one race?

I don't want to rely on "crca does it" or "WS United has two kits" as an excuse.

JP, you could swing by and pick up the kit early. I imagine I have no problem being up. Let me know.

Only Cat 1's and 2's must be the same.

ER,
     Thanks for the official's word.

Getting to your house and then racing?  IF the race starts at 7am, maybe.  Otherwise, too early.  Post-race, yes.  Provided you'll be there.
50% Chance of rain... in new white kit.  Oh the conflict!
Yes that thought crossed my mind. Kissena wet t-shirt contest?

Stain stick is your friend.
Cross--posting this on the Stuff For Sale Thread

I have an extra piece of new kit that's too big for me if anyone is looking:

New Unused Edge Short-Sleeved Jersey Large [Club Cut--looser fit than normal race cut]  ....$70.
The new kit is legit. Just wore it out today, love it!
Everyone has said it already, but I'll say it again anyway, the new kit looks awesome! Attached is a pic of me sporting the blue-bellied short sleeved skinsuit at the track today.

Do I win a prize for (possibly) being the first Kissena to wear the new kit at our founding fathers' track? Like a lifetime's supply of HGH, sorry, I mean, Creatine?

looking badass, Kieran!
For sale (or size swap): 1 brand new edge short-sleeve jersey (race cut, size medium.) $70 or swap me for same jersey, size large. Also cross-posting in stuff fer sale..... Thanks! Ping me here or email at davidestearns@gmail.com
@ Kieran looking badass indeed.  I think you need some kind of warning stickers on your thighs though.  Something like this?

SKIN SUIT RECALL

Out of 400+ units, and dozens of styles, the ChampSys art department make just a couple of SMALL mistakes.

If you ordered a skinsuit you will get a new one, in exchange for your old.

YOU CAN RACE IN YOUR CURRENT SKIN SUIT UNTIL THE REPLACEMENTS ARRIVE

When the new ones arrive you'll be able to take yours back to Ride Brooklyn for the swap.
Seriously? What's the mistake? (I'm obviously not being observant enough).

I don't think my max wattage would be high enough to merit such a sticker anymore <sigh>. But am working on it ;-)
The mistakes are minor, and won't show up on any action sports photos!

Unless you are a designer or spent a lot of time going back & forth with CS you would not spot them.
why on earth do we have to return them?

are they going to resell them to the Ugandan Cycling Federation as "slightly tainted excellentwear"?
@ WDC that I cannot answer.  Presumably to prevent people from amassing an arsenal of "free" kit due to minor defects.  Ask Charlie the next time you see him.
Given the obscene number of mistakes CS made throughout the process, and the slight inconvenience for the customer of having to do a second pickup to get the corrected skinsuits, it seems pretty absurd that people have to return them.
@ Ryan I agree completely but Charlie is in China right now, and apparently unreachable.  In the meantime, this is the guidance we have.  We're talking about 12 pieces of kit out of 400-450.  Not a huge deal I hope.

yeah - we can talk to charlie about it down the line when he's back

no need to worry about it until the kits come in
The only "defect"  I can see is that my skinsuit doesn't say 'kissena' on the leg as the shorts do. If thats not it fine, but I would actually like to have it there. Didn't see anything else of consequence...
Yup, that's one.  No need to dwell on it though.  When the new ones come in you can swap them out.
