Just think of all the Watts he's wasting
Panda skin is more effective I find.
I put mine in the dryer at the laundrymat. Saves me an extra trip up my 5th floor walkup and holds up fine with other stuff on low heat.  Same issue with the zipper logo.  Although if I turn the jersey inside out it seems to happen less.
i wash all my gear, inside-out, and hang it to dry, just on the hunch that it'll last longer this way.
(edit: i machine wash, but on a delicate cycle - not the regular).

I only hand wash & hang dry. Don't think it will last long if I machine wash & tumble dry.

I've found that the little "C" gets hooked on the holes of laundromat dryers and breaks off.
Dryers?! You put your jersey in the dryer? Serves you right.
Energy hog.
Wow, look at Stokes waxing judgmental - nice to see!

If I wanted to throw it back at you I might mention that being vegetarian means my carbon footprint is almost certainly lower than yours.

(though still higher than 90% of the world's because I'm a disgusting American)

But I'm above that.

Yeah, I handwash my stuff about half the time. But I've found it holds up fine when washed and dried. And if it wears out a little sooner, I figure that's worth the convenience of not having to mess with the handwash every single time.

Maybe my laundromat is taking it out before it gets too heated up or something.

True, but it's Champ Sys, it's not really made to last very long. Two years or so, depending upon wear and tear.  I used to go to the trouble of hand washing and hang drying the first kit I got 3 years ago, and it still only lasted just over one year.  Wasn't worth the effort.
Jerseys get zipped up and turned inside out.  Shorts are turned inside out and put in sweater bags.  Cold wash whenever possible. dry on low heat, with spandex out of bags.  Jackets and vests and gloves don't need to be washed every time.
These are the two things I swear by when it comes to washing jerseys and bibs.

and even though its a little over priced, I prefer it over sports wash -

I always use a pair of needle nose pliers to squish together the little C on the zipper before the first wash.
Machine wash, always cold, and hang to dry (but I have a machine in my building, so the trip upstairs is happening anyway between cycles) . My stuff seems to last....maybe I am not riding enough!

Finally. A universal truth.

finally got my kit

it is dope but i am so so sad about the longer sleeves

i've worked for YEARS to establish this jersey tan . . . some scientists have calculated it goes almost to the bone

now it will all be lost, or ever worse . . . muddied by wearing different jerseys

[tears]
WDC,
Take the lead here.  Some people like fixed tan lines, some like tattoo sleeves.  We're going to, by necessity, be rocking "the fade," and we hope you can be our spokesman.
@WilliamDC, I don't have much time to train right now because I am spending A LOT of time in the tanning booth with my kit on. Holler if you ever want to join me.
Science.
@Ryan - That pic is hilarious

sigh . . . i guess . . .  if my teams needs me . . .
I had not read any of this thread for a month.  Turns out it's full of women talking about tumble dryers.

After 2 days in the Catskills, including one day at 95-100 degrees and one day in a thunder storm, my jersey now has:

1) A tear on the back.
2) A rust spot where one of my pins apparently was
3) Weird orange/brown grime marks on it

This is OK, it is now like all my other jerseys and fits in with the Anti-Anti video better.
I'm considering pushing the longer sleeves up to the tan line. They're pretty tight on my puffy arms, so I think it might work. If not, I'll explore Greaser Sleeves.

Pro?

PLEASE NOTE: Google store widget has been acting a little funky recently, you may have to reload several times to get it to work.

I tried to reload it over ten times, for some reason it still cannot load any products :(

Best,
Same here - no love on the widget...
Sucks.  I'm at my wits end trying to figure out why.  Nothing has changed since last time :(
I am getting a "Failed to load product information" error. Is there a way on my end to resolve this/is this happening for anybody else?

And regarding the longer sleeves... aside from ruining my current tanlines, I am pretty sure these new sleeves will establish tanlines that go way beyond most of my t-shirt sleeves. This could be a real problem. It's one thing to deal with the ladies when you've got permanent sexy thigh highs on, it's another to have a blindingly white band of skin extending an inch or two past your t-shirt sleeve.

Then again, the new kits are so nice that I should probably just wear 'em out instead of all my other shirts ever.
Konrad,

It's a great conversation starter.  Once the ladies find out you're an "athlete", they'll want to see more.  Just get yourself a weenie dog and you'll be killing it.
