Team Kit Order

Yeah, guess that wind vest will come in handy next year. ;)
Hey couple of quick comments about some new gear that I wore for the first time this past weekend. The cycling caps, I'm loving. They weren't made of the jersey material like last years (which I also liked), and so I was initially worried that they would be the "tight fitting" caps that I heard about. And being a person with a giant melon for a head, I've struggled with one size fits all on the headgear. Headaches are usually the end result. Anyway, this year's caps are plenty big for me.

Speaking of giant melons, my new large Rudy helmet is great. Very happy to have a lid that fits. Last year's model was a "small/medium," and I had to remove all the padding and it still squeezed my head. Anyway, with this year's "large" I've got a little extra room to used the twister knob to cinch it down. Even if my wife tells me it looks a little giant on my head!
The order has arrived and individual orders are packaged and ready for pick-up. I will have the pick-up information shortly.

Thanks for all your hard work on this, Clayton. Yay new bibs!
Delivery for this order is going to happen in to steps. Since I am heading off to Ireland or 2 weeks on Wednesday Eric Ragot has agreed to let me drop individual packages at his home in Park Slope. You can pick them up from him until I get back at which time the standard practice will resume.

Eric will only have the packaged orders, and I will be delivering them to him this evening. If there is an issue with the order or you need additional items I will take care of that when I return.

Thank you for you consideration and cooperation!
Clayton

Eric, will you still have the orders in the week of 5/24 ?
I think so, but check with me then. Ciao
tour de parc
race starts at 1:30, so, I won't be around in the afternoon.
do you still have clothing or does clayton?
I have it, I don't know if I have yours.
Next time we'll post a list of whose clothing I have
Just a quick plug for our clothing sponsor (and Clayton?) for those who haven't picked up new bins:

The new chamois and leg grippers are much improved. The chamois is super comfortable and has the same dimples as do current Assos bibs. Nice.

My new size Large Kissena wind jacket is a bit too large for me. If anyone has a Medium that's too small, I'm looking to switch.
are we able to pay for and pick up bibs at any time or is that an order-only type of thing?
I only have pre-ordered and paid for clothing.
Does anyone know if there are extra jerseys and bibs for purchase? I joined after the initial order was put through and I desperately need some additional items. Thanks.
me too, any x-smalls lying around? Bib and jersey.
It is time for the summer clothing order process to begin. I have been training and ready to set up a long lead out. OK, now that that is over here is business.

Do the bib knickers (and any other "shorts") come with the new or old chamois?

Patrick
Hey Clayton,

What are the chances of adding some kids jerseys to the mix? I see CS offers them and I'll bet there would be some interest....

I want to get a pair of Kissena socks for those special racing occasions.

I have heard lots of talk that socks should be neither too long nor too short.

What is the best cuff length? I'm guessing that eliminates the 1" cuff. Go with the 2" or 4"?

I've got some of the 4" ones. They're not as long as those sockguy lion sox (which have cool gfx but are a bit too long IMO). I personally prefer a bit of a long sock though, either CS mid or long cuff. Agreed that the short cuff ones are too short.
From experience:

The 1-inch ones are too short.

The $15 "elite" ones have a lycra ankle cuff portion with gripper rubber at the top. They're not very tight on my spindly legs, so if your legs are skinny, too, definitely don't order the Large size, which I made the mistake of doing. However, if they fit you, they're really plush and the cuff is a proper length.
FWIW those Elite socks Jeff is talking about are 4" cuff length (according to the CS clothing order form).
Mike, I think at your height your could pull off 4" cuffs. I think they work best on people Ragot size or taller. I think guys my size should stay away from 4" cuffs.
4" cuffs are for dorks

there

i said it

i always hated Lance's tall-ass socks . . . made him look like a german tourist (or an american tourist, depending on whether he was rocking black or white)
True. Also, medium high socks are soooooo 2010.
Hey, I'm rocking the 4 inch cuffs and I like em. I'm going to go put them on and look in the mirror right now. Be right back...

(2.5 minute pause)

Yup, still sweet!
