Team Kit Order

Will trade leadouts (or US dollars) for bibs... size medium. Don't want to show up at Catskills with a Team Jersey and randompants.

Oh, and if anyone has a size M skinsuit I'm hoping to at least *look* fast for the TT. Willing to buy/rent or barter for work on the front at the race of your choice...

Posted By: mugwumpMatt,
Regarding your question, it seems to have sufficient UV protection as I have yet to notice a burn through the jersey.
JP,

Thanks for the info. I don't peruse the forums very frequently, so I am just seeing this now. I "cheaped out" and went with the classic jersey. I'll save up in my piggy bank and order the mesh for next summer -- too bad Champ-Sys doesn't discount the mesh in the Fall! Heck, if I stay on the bike and follow through with my threat to buy a FS/SS second steed, I may even fit back into an "M" next year :P

Matt
Both of my standard weight Kissena jerseys have mysteriously vanished, I have been wearing my summer weight one for every race. I feel like I am beating up on the poor summer jersey, and it is going to start getting to be the wrong weather for that one pretty soon.

Does anyone have a M or L jersey they are willing to loan and or sell me ? I am right on the brink size wise - either works.

Whisper a reply back.

thanks.
Any updates on the order?
The clothing order has the arrived and has been verified. By this weekend the individual orders will be compiled and ready for distribution. TO make things a bit easier I am announcing that on the Sept 3rd there will be a Vuelta/USAPCC (?) party and BBQ. We had a similar party last year and a good time was had by all, including the guys building the fence in 100+ degree heat.

Other arrangements include the standard Union Square pick-up or you can contact me off-list and we will make arrangements.
Couple of people have asked about a starting time. The grill will be fired up at 2pm! Also if you are planning on attending please let me know so I can have an approximate head count. Also, Also this is open to family members so please bring those babies, children, brides and friends. This is a good way to close the gap in "married to a bike" relationships.

Clayton
I would have to bring it in so please let me know and call ahead to confirm, though the shindig is my first preference at that is fun, work is not.
Hey Clayton,

You should cross post this in a new discussion.

I'll be there, likely avec child.

Hey Harry,

Clayton is in charge of clothing as he is the Membership director. You can find information about the clothing on the website: http://kissena.info/join/ but the last thread that has some good info about clothing with the updated excel file is: http://kissena.info/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=126&page=1#Item_36

good luck
J
One point of clarification - aren't membership and clothing two positions (and Clayton is just that much of a cool guy that he holds both) ?
that is correct

he is also the Official KCC Bookie for the Superbowl and Lead Officiant of all KCC Competitive Eating competitions

read the by-laws dude . . . i posted them shits for a reason
Its all horribly true, and I will be announcing the winter order later today.
Did "today" get tackled by a rabid middle-aged jerk in the park too?
:P
Jules-

Sharp as a knife, as vicious and a viper with a hangover. Love it.

All over it like a rash!
Like hair on a Gorilla, baby.... Like funny on a clown...
All,

Unfortunately dealing with my son's broken arm has taken my attention away from getting this out. I have a prototype for entering orders without use of the Excel sheet, but it is not ready for prime time. I was hoping the finish the testing but have not had the time.

For this order let's repeat the summer order's procedure with a deadline of 11/02/2011.

It is time for the summer clothing order process to begin. I have been training and ready to set up a long lead out. OK, now that that is over here is business.

1) The deadline is November 2nd.

2) Order forms can be found at:
Web access to Excel Doc - http://goo.gl/crcse (new)
Google Doc version - http://goo.gl/g9LOi

3) Any questions: my email is claytonbruckert@gmail.com
Does anyone have the neoprene winter gloves from Champ Sys (Kissena or otherwise) ?

I see that we have have them listed as an option on the clothing order. My hands are not standard in dimension. They are short but stubby, making glove sizing is a pain.
Smalls\Mediums normally fit tight
Larges fit more comfortably but I end up having too much in finger length.

If anyone has these gloves and would be willing to let me try their pair on to see the sizing before I order, you would rock.
It may even ease the pain of being kicked out of hand modeling school in milan.

whisper or email to jcaesar.bike@gmail.com

thanks!

Joshua
Since you brought up cold weather hand protection... I tried a pair of these goofy-ass-looking Barr Mitts last year and I gotta say for really cold mid-winter ride days, below the 30s (when you don't plan on running into anyone you know who will laugh at you), they are really quite effective at keeping your hands comfortable. Here's a review from CX magazine that I think gives a fair assessment of their pros and cons (e.g., they limit the amount of bar positions you can use).

deadline today bump
I am currently processing the orders now and will be sending out the confirmations in the next couple days. I update again once all the confirmations are sent.
Somewhere on the continuum between super dorky and pro lies this:

I just figured out that with New Balance's custom 574 sneaker initiative you can create a shoe that looks pretty close to what an "offiical" shoe might look like as part of the Kissena kit. I haven't decided if I'm dorky enough to actually order these or not (because I'm certainly not pro enough to do so). Take a look though.....
Trying to attach the screen shots. Hang on.
Here we go (I think)
Slick. hey might even compete with Joaquin's Kissena podium Nike's.

Send us the link.
Ahh. I forgot about Joaquin's podium shoes. I sense a new year-end award category in there somewhere.

Here's the link to the Kissena shoe I "designed:"

If that doesn;t work or you want to start from scratch, here's the general link to the NB 574 customizer thing:

I don't know, I think I like these better.

It's a fun toy.
I think your take on it is more fashionable but mine may be a bit closer to the kit. Who am I to quibble? Or opine on fashion for that matter?
It is fun though, right?
hey clayton,
ahhh, i still want to orders a couple things...did i miss the boat?
